going parallel is what a squat is supposed to be, below that allows you to bounce at the bottom, lower than below parallel is a deep squat for olympic lifters, so you can talk all you want about below parallel this and that, but unless you are a olympic lifter there is absolutely no point when testing a max to go below parallel, moral of the story, either congratulate him for an incredible lift or shut the hell up
Hey dude, i love how you're wearing everyday running shoes with 700 on ur back..i dont think those shoes will have much support anymore..Dr. Scholls would be sad.............dirty vids...
(its Nera btw......be seein ya in TO for the CPO Nationals..lets light that shit up baby!!)
its sad how people are quick to bash and also quick to shrivel up..........so u dont know a single person with a camera!?!?! not one?? where do you live?? Chances are if you live somewhere with internet access.....someone will have "a means to put up a video".......unless you simply have no friends because you're such a hater.......
as for all you other folks.....going below parallel is not bad for your knees..in fact...the most amount of pressure on the knee is at that 90 degree point.....but a lot of things change the pressure on your knees.....ie where is the weight on your feet.....what muscles are you stretching as you lower into your squat......learn your physics and anatomy...only one study was done on knee pressure and it was done with people who cant squat properly
Thank You. Also thanks for setting that atraight with people. And on one final note, for all you nitpivky technical people out there, he did not break parallel. I don't know if your eyes are screwed up or maybe the little bit of a curve on his hamstring going on but he did not. That doesn't mean it is a useless lift. Seven hundred pounds is not going to move itself up and down.
Parallel is defined by the hip insertion going below the top of the knee. You can't tell exactly because the pin is in the way but it sure looked like parallel to me.
LOL at all these faggots who say "go parallel" but can't even make it as far as this guy with 135.

its not being a hater when you simply point out a fact that has nothing to do with the video

90 degrees from quad to calf is proper form, any more is damaging to knees.
