another great place is on hail, in one of the train carts- not the middle one-, because only medium enemies can jump in, no need to worry about planting shields, theres ammo pretty close by- only bad thing is it dosen't hail and kill the hordes :(, and you cant bring a turret or shield in

ok guys never ever drop the shotgun ever. it's 10000 times better than the lancer or hammerburst. it kills a boomer in 3 or 2 shots while the lancer takes almost 2 clips sometimes. trust me. if u find a sniper or torque bow, TRADE YOUR AUTOMATIC WEAPON. also try and get the magnum pistol (can't remember the name) it's much much better than the others

Also in Day One at the ramp above the Arcade you can go to the end and hop over the wall, and there is a spot right next to a sniper/torque bow spawn and it has plenty over cover for two-three people. Also grenades can be put in the wall so that if Locust come up the ramp, then they will be delayed or killed. from this position 85% of the map can be seen, so it is hard to hide, especially if you have the sniper.

Horde is always 10x easier when you got 4 other ppl helping you out. Playing on your own is a very unnerving experience and requires careful choices about where and how to fight, especially at later levels. I did 1-50 alone switching between security and Day One. About the only 2 maps where 1 person could realistically defeat the horde.

Easiest way to beat HORDE is by staying in the traincoupes on HAIL.. only 2 players are enough to make even wave 50 an easy one.. just take your time and dont spill to much ammo, at the end of a wave scavenge some bullets and get back inside asap.

tricks i learned for Day One.kill wretches with the shotty, it saves time instead of hacking them up. you can melee tickers and they will be stunned for like 5 seconds, works well for groups of tickers and flame boomers, knock a ticker infront of them and shoot it, they both die.for butchers i just use the shotgun, melee up close the fire from the hip when they swing at you and repeat. use the sniper to take off big guys helmets and make them more vulnerable to faceshots.

usually the best spot is up on the balcony where the torque bow/sniper respawns or setting up two shields on both sides of the yellow van at the bottom of the steps it will stop most big guys including grinders,maulers and boomers and bloodmounts.for boomers i use the active reload bullets for the magnum and go for headshots. for sires DONT put urself in a corner they can keep you from revving the chainsaw up and killing them or just shoot them with ur shotty when their on the ground

& sorry spike1015 for the big comments, if you play offline without updates use the sheild glitch where you can jump off the balcony and one at the bottom of the steps so you can still go get ammo without being trapped.set up a smoke grenades as a precaution or set one up when ur about to be "rushed" by the last few surviving horde members, this will buy you a couple of valuable seconds to reload,run or hack them up. Grinders = Torque bow

You say that sometimes the blood mounts can knock the shields down. I've been playing this game for a long time and I have never seen a blood mount knock a shield down. The blood mount riders might sometimes knock the shield down, but not the blood mount itself. Sometimes they can get around the shields if they were not planted in the right spot though.

Spike 1015 u can start of a wave with seven shield. how to do it, pick one up before the wave ends, and when it ends, drop it, pick up the others and drop them. if you have five peope playing you can have 10/15 shields after wave 8 if ur on isane, i used the same five shields the whole wave on day one by myself, but it was on causal. remeber to pick up the shields and drop them, as fast as you can. BUT DONT PICK UP ONE SHIELD MORET THAN ONCE.

also you can go to pavilion and there is a room were only 1 entrance is there. start at about wave 8, get ammo right outside and boomshield inside. have on person stand in front of the door and gaurd with boomshield. other person uses lancer/hamerburst and kill cyclops. i got past wave 50 within 5 days of getting it using this technique

Theres another good spot in hail. which you hid in one of the train thats blocked off all sides. Nobody but wretches and midlle class ememies come in. and if you need ammo theres a quick ammo crate to your left if your facing the court yard

I respectfully disagree with the difficulty of killing a Kantus. the simplest way to kill the is aim directly at the center of the head, which is where the jaws are to be located. Hope it helped.

the easiest one for me on horde is day one, even for solo, camp above the arcade with two shield's at the top of the stair's. torque bow/longshot spawn every wave or so, and just take cover and pop some head's :)

I think they patched the opposite sheild thing cause when I play horde, the damn CPUs ALWAYS kick down the sheilds no matter what side faces them...

You don't have to constantly hold the shield to retain it through the next wave. After the wave score window fades out, just pick up the shield(s) that you wanna keep, hold em for a second, then plant 'em back down. They won't disappear, and you can keep more than just two shields.
