  • In time 1:10 looks like a Hammerhead shark :) F***ing good video, nice locos and awesome engine sound.

This GE ES44AC is the favourite for me.

    Congratulations :)

    I give the good like!!

    Respects from Hungary

  • to bad that they can't stay that clean

  • I like head lights above the cab. It looks better that way, in my opinion

  • @CSX4772 i think the top headlight looks better to

  • Is this NS's first AC units? aside from the SD80MAC's ofcourse.

  • Very Nice. I like the High light and finally NS gets a 4400 horsepower engine. Hopefully they dont de-rate them.

  • Great, I havent saw a NS ES44AC since last year, wish I could see more, they have good k5hlls my fav, reminds me of UP.

  • Very cool! I have yet to see any of these on the road in the almost 2 years since you recorded this video. They look very cool though! Thumbs up!

  • Nice Video!!

  • Awesome 5*

  • There's the white CEMEX unit.

  • and about the acs....GE is just gonna make a new GEVO.....completely original ES60AC

  • These are actually es44ah units.

They are the same locomotives that CSX developed for use between Grafton and Cumberland.

Added weight and high tractive effort software.

  • Nice GEVO

  • My favorite locomotives

  • woowser all brand new and shiny :]

  • beautiful locos

  • No one cares that you are that close to them filming?

  • NS with AC units? That only leaves CN without any kind of AC units........are they going to get on board too?

  • ya no, they finally get AC units but they don't get steerable trucks! grrr

  • Are you sure its AC? I thought it was ES44DC unit.

  • It's an AC, it just doesn't have the steerable trucks like CSX does

  • I'd like to see the DEsignation on the side of the locomotive...

  • yeah your right. NS got the es44acs which replace the ac4400s cause the es44acs are more efficent and make less polution and they have the ac traction motor. and your right bought the es44dc that one has a dc traction motor

  • UP is still using AC4400s for their coal trains

  • I personally havn't heard the horns on the new these NS locomotives, I'm not sure what type of horns they have.

  • Just to let everyone know the horn is the same ones used on the IAIS ES44ACs. SOme of the newer CSX engines (so far up from 936-949) used it too and I think Union Pacific.

  • They are Nathan K5hls

  • Did you know that ac6000cw is sometime going to be coverted into ES60ACs?

  • not really. They are going to make a Gevo with 6000 hp and use a very similar frame..but the ACs wont be touched

  • They have the new K5HLLs!

  • Comment removed

  • Awesome! NS got more powerful GEVO's! Do you know if they'll have K5HL horns?

  • OH...MY...GOD! I cannot believe NS is getting ES44ACs! That is so AWESOME! I hope to see these on the Norfolk District soon! Thank you so much for capturing these beauties on video!

  • I thought that NS was going to put those steerable trucks on the es44ac's. 5/5!

  • NS PLANS TO ORDER LIKE 65 MORE FOR 2009

  • And i'm glad they are sticking with keeping the top lights on top of the cab instead of putting them by the cab doors. NS has made history.

  • Very nice first NS es44acs on YouTube! Five Stars! One question. Why did NS do away with the rear ditch lights?

  • glad NS finally went above 4000hp and to AC units!

  • Isn't this their first delivery of this type of engine?

  • very nice new NS locomotives! 8002-8006! i want to see these around Buffalo sometime soon!

  • There's 24 of them to be delivered by this year.

  • only 24? lol, 24 NS locomotives right? thats cool!
