  • Great video. Bag training is very stimulating and safer than Olympic bars and kettlebells. You can lose your grip and accidentally drop an 80-pound sandbag on your foot without injury - not so with an 80 pound kettlebell.

  • excellent vid will try this thanx.

  • Nice video

  • how heavy is the bag bro

  • Thanks for the great video! I'll suggest this to the guys at my gym as well. :)

  • how much sand was in it?

  • digging my duffle bag out of the closet.

  • how many time do you, Do this circuit?

  • how many reps for each exercise do you do?

  • We typically hit 8 reps with each movement.

  • Nice, very innovative! Gotta try this one out.

  • Nice vid. Gave me some ideas how heavy is the bag?

  • I had a feeling you might direct me to this video after my "budget" question on the other video that showed you using a kettlebell, so I thought I'd just go ahead and check it out :-) May have to find some sandbags to add to my poor boy gym...those things look like they'd be pretty mean. Thanks for the great videos.

  • sub for a sub ?

  • is this the actually workout or just a demonstration of the excercises? like should i do more reps of each excercise or will this alone be enuf

  • I use a 60 pound sandbag, they work very well.

  • good routine--lot's of variety too.

  • I was looking for something like this. Looks tough. Thank you!

  • do you know of any good 5-minute circuits for mma using the sandbag? this one seems to only go for 2 minutes and it is far too intense!

  • if you are into mma you best not be afraid of intensity

  • good stuff, thanks for making this.

  • ross has a free PDF on making your own. very thorough.

  • How did you make that sandbag? It looks really cool. Good video.

  • Search ebay for "army duffle"

Take and put a garbage bag inside the army duffle and then fill it with sand or pea gravel.

    Hope this helps...

  • Thanks. So do you have a dvd showing all the exercises in the book, or are you just demoing some?

  • Is this circuit from the book "Building the Ultimate MMA Athlete"? If yes, does the book include a DVD of the exercises being demoed?

  • Is this circuit from the book "Building the Ultimate MMA Athlete"? If yes, does the book include a DVD of the exercises being demoed?

  • Yes, it is in the new version.

    Thanks for inquiring.

  • Sorry but i'm just clarifying. Do you mean yes this circuit is from that book? Or do you mean yes, the book includes a DVD of the exercises?

  • Yes, the circuit is in the book. Right now the manual does not come with a DVD. That is something I want to add in the future.

  • Thanks a lot for your help and patience :)

  • Oh hell yeah!

  • how heavy is the bag shown here?

  • Not sure the exact weight, but I think it was right around 100 lbs.

  • would this be good for a boxer as well?

  • Definitely yes.

It contains complex movements that can be sequenced to address the specific energy system requirements specific to boxing.

  • many thanks you guys are awesome.

  • thanks for the support!

  • looks like a great workout
