@mtlwolf35 I'm in this video and we were definitely NOT trained by marines. We had a competition against the marines, airforce, and army down in DC and guess who won? The Navy! The Navy drill team is head and shoulders above any other. Honestly, anyone of us in this video could have EASILY mastered the marines drill routine.
@njpanyca I’m not up on how they did against other teams in competitions but you didn’t even mention them, sometimes the USCG is the forgotten branch
One of my Navy buddys used to do this in Norfolk, he loved it. Showed us the video's of them doing practice and it just amazed me at how smooth and flawless everything flowed together.

There are reasons for these drills, you will find similar drills in every modern day military. They display honor, discipline, teamwork, timing, trust, and attention to detail. These are a few attributes of a member of a military force. You don't have to be on a drill team, but you will need to have these characteristics. Grow up first.

Lovely as it was, it was no comparison to the U.S. Navy drill team performing in Norway. Feel free to look up the Royal Air Force drill team and compare for yourself. The U.S. Navy is not only the worlds finest and mightiest navy, but arguably the worlds best drill team.

"I, (name), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic." this part of the oath is before swearing allegiance to the president for a reason. it is this part of the oath that you must first uphold, so if the CIC is undermining the constitution, he is then to be considered a domestic enemy. it is then the enlisted personnels prerogative to right the situation.

I was in this drill block in Oslo, Norway. U.S. Navy Ceremonial Guard Drill Team from November 2002-November 2004. Best 2 years of my life. Bryan Cortez-Full Honors Drill Team Member.

@jumpa01 Why would'nt they? I passed on this when in Boot Camp in 1974 Orlando. I regret it to this day. Passed on this. As in, I was selected for Drill Team or Color Guard, alas, I declined.

@reb012 thats not really the case buddy. "I, (name), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic." this part of the oath is before swearing allegiance to the president for a reason. it is this part of the oath that you must first uphold, so if the CIC is undermining the constitution, he is then to be considered a domestic enemy. it is then the enlisted personnels prerogative to right the situation.

Rifle spinning is bloody hard...id like to add that they do not use sharpened bayonets very often and the general will know how to do that too. just not veyr well.
