More chance of monkeys flying out of my arse than The Smiths reuniting I'm afraid, especially after the long legal battles between Rourke & Morrissey. I love them dearly, but I wouldn't want them to neither. Leave them where they are now, in their glorious past !
Use reverse reverb, into another reverb unity, into two vibrato pedals set both pedals to just about the same speed, so the sound comes in and out of phase. What you get is the famous sound of The Smiths.
@JMICHEL323 there is a great Guitar Player Magazine interview from the early 90's i think that he talks about all his gear in. This one is heavy Fender vibrato and a legendary Eventide harmonizer. Johnny was also into old school space echo in a big way.
I see all these so called "artists" and their twenty backup dancers staging choreographed dances these days. Nobody screws with Morrissey when he's jamming to Marr's fine tunes.
That's funny you said "Kashmir" because I was just thinking this song is better than anything in the LZ catalog, then I thought, well, Kashmir was equally good, I suppose. I would assume far fewer people know of this song.
Your'e right I have seen lots of Smiths live footage I know its archive material but they always seemed to be under amplified. The balance mix here isn't right but it's still a cracker performance.
Morrissey... please forgive and forget.. Have a "Big Reunion" for the fans.. Do it now (while all of you guys are still alive)before it's too late. Learn from the Beatles...
What a great t shirt!

it will never happen. One thing for sure about Morrissey is he is principled. He will never forgive Joyce for the lawsuit.

A good night out with an ex-girlfriend, from the RCH, to Langtrys and then spoilt by an idiot in Fagans, but a good night none the less.

Morrisey is wearing a James Dean shirt too. Saw them on the last tour that year in Boston. They open the show with this song, it was killer!

This is the one tune where the music transcends the lyrics, thats not to say the lyrics are shit in any way.
Probably the best tune ever made after Kashmir and A Day in the Life.
