@tinhi1 Athetosis is a slow, writhing movement of the hands, neck, face, etc. It looks like the patient is trying to slowly twist their hands, etc. It is caused by a problem with the Globus pallidus of the basal ganglia. Chorea is a flicking movement of the hands, face, etc. that looks kind of like the patient is pretending to play the piano. It is caused by a problem with the putamen of the basal ganglia.
thanks lot iam medical student and it was so difficult to know these medical termanolgy but with this domenstrating vido it is mutch easier thanks alot
@dando77100 you're a medical student and you speak like that? Hopefully you don't plan on practicing medicine anywhere around me! :D (by the way, "a lot" is two words)
Thanks sooo much for posting this video. I am currently experiencing the same thing except my whole arms loose control and more but your video helps show that someoen has the same problem as me. Please update and how you're doing. Thanks you. You have my blessings and hope you well.
Thankyou for posting. My gf was recently diagnost and I was skeptical but after seeing this it is excatly what she has. Started with just the hands but now affects all limbs and her neck. medication is helping and it stops when she sleeps. usually sparks when she gets emotional or really tired from work/school. thankyou again
thanks

This has been REALLY helpful! Reading 10 descriptions of what chorea is did not help me visualise chorea as much as your vid did.
