  • thank you so much for your tips.Health has no cause. i rather pay few more for healthy eating or in this case drinking than pay for pharmaceutical companies.

  • Don't use 4 different kinds of water.

  • Just ordered the nEW DESIGNER BLENDTEC!! Vitamix is paying Blendtec around 11 million bucks for STEALING Blendtec's technology!! Also, it is CHEAPER to juice and make smoothies cause You ar enot eating out or buying junk food, which is WAY more costly!!

  • Don't forget jizz! A few squirts an ur good to go!!

  • This video is so boring...

  • Thank you for this great video. Please include it with bfilms

  • TOMATO IS A FRUIT!!! WHAT THE FUCK

  • what about adding raw agave nectar?

  • @bjaoheight Well you could do that...but know that Agave is not raw...it’s better to not make it 2 sweet...stick to bananas, apples, grapes, and dates for sweetness...or get some stevia.

  • I like the talk and you silly youngsters need to keep your comments to yourselves.

  • I like the intro

  • my smoothie consist of spinach carrots bananas and strawberry.... is that bad or good??

  • спасибо за вашу книгу) начала пить зеленые коктейли.

  • ur cute

  • Cabbage isn't a green?

  • Lots of fruit blended up = sugar rush. I go for 100% green smoothies. Start with small amounts if you have to, but too much sugar is really like a can of coke with vitamins and fiber - still too much sugar. And, a regular blender will work fine to start with, just leave it running longer! Save yourself $400+ bucks. You can always buy a better one later if you aren't convinced a small one only means a little more time.

  • i throw any and eveything in (STARCHES TO!!). then drop some raw 4 day old mik to eat it 1st... then me. if u saw me u would do it tonight!!

  • I could have benefited from this video being a fraction of the time.

  • Thanks for the info. I am now making and drinking a small, fruity, smoothie in the early morning when I wake, followed a few hours later with an more old fashioned breakfast, eggs, fruit and meat. Than a larger smoothie for lunch. right now I'm much too stuck on the fruits. They are fun and tasty but I'm looking forward to adding more leafy greens and "fruits" like peppers, tomatoes and melons. Thank you....I feel good. I'm sure i'll fell even better soon.

  • Horsepower actually doesn't mean anything, since companies do their own testing and there is no standardization for testing. You're better off comparing the wattage being used.

  • you gotta CUT OFF the skin of the mango, because it's not healthy.

  • he looks very short...

  • KIJK OOK EENS OP MANGOSMOOTHIES.NL

    LOOK AT MANGOSMOOTHIES.NL

  • I'm super happy I found this.

  • Sweet, good job. I recently made a smoothie with greens I harvested from the forest. Check it out on my homepage if you're interested :)

  • good job

  • I love this blender, i have one.

  • Not made a green smoothie yet that tastes as good as juiced carrots and lemon but it's all healthy stufff. :)

  • You said: "never blend anything but greens, fruit and water". I have a question. Since a month or two I've been drinking fermented kefir every day. I feel much better, and as an unexpected but welcome bonus, my weight started to go down on its own. Can I combine the benefits of kefir with the goodness of a green smoothie? I'm tempted to chuck a bunch of it in the blender with some greens and see what comes out...

  • skip the whole introduction, this video starts at 07:28

  • @master111222 I love you.

  • @master111222 Damn right! I was so interested in Green smoothies, but all this saying-nothing bla-bla is really putting you off. Zero information. At least none of value. Tell us something we didn't know! Get to the interisting part. Well, I guess he is just a lmaer advertising his books.

  • Great video!!!!

  • Its kinda of expensive to do this every day.

  • @JohnnyNokaster

no it is not expensive....how many cost one chocolate or ice cream or meat and how many cost salat or fruit??????? :)

  • @JohnnyNokaster your medical bill will be expensive if you dont.

  • This was a great video for Beginers thanks for posting this Video

  • I just started making green smoothies and just got a Blendtec blender. The problem I find with rotating veggies as you say is that they go bad after a few days. I had a bag of spinach and once opened, should be used within 3 days. Thanks for the video BTW.

  • @pucrob Buy your greens either frozen like spinach or Buy other non-frozen greens wash them and freeze them away for later use..

  • Comment removed

  • @outspeaker Can I freeze fresh spinach as I never use the whole bag before it goes bad? Also how do I freeze it, right from the bag? So much info on the internet but some details are left out on raw food diet. I use some frozen fruits in my smoothies but fresh veggies are another story. Maybe Sergei can help with this.

  • Comment removed

  • just make it dude tell us the recipe

  • 7:27 to skip the talk

  • thank you well explained and informative. much love

  • if you actually want to see how to make a green smothie and not be bored to death... go to 7.22

  • @Wellaware234 lol thanks

  • He's so cute, as he is smart... and that dance at the end really was just too cute! Spasibo Seryoja for such an informational video!!

  • If ur just getting started with Green Smoothies and going partially raw do u have to use organic? I know it's probably best BUT I don't know anyone around my area that sells organic.

  • what is this hole rotating greens deal for alkalinity????

  • how does puting to much greens cancel each other out??????????

  • The dance at 8:15 at the end really makes it bro. Nice touch.

  • Sergei you looks cool :) Nice face. Do you eat cooked food?

  • 4 different types of water?

  • @BBoughton yea, hose water, toilet water, tap water, bottled water lol

  • Is it not a good idea to add hemp protein to your smoothie...I do, just to stay full.

  • pretty vague and runs on... it would have been better if you presented a couple of recipes and then explained how to expand and go beyond them.

  • @wwenaveed - Order from Abel & Cole. They deliver weekly, you end up with a mix of organic fruits and veg from selected farms/sellers across the UK and the price generally averages out against what you can buy in the shops. Failing that, as was said: Tesco and/or Sainsburys sell Kale.

  • Will try..im not to fond of kale though but maybe with the strawberries and bananas it wont be bad.

  • Are smoothies any good for people with Type 2 Diabetes? And doesn't the blender oxidize the enzymes? Just something I've read ;)

  • @mrrrbt Juice you juice yourself or juice you buy in the shop? Store bought juice is the devil, seriously have a look at the nutritional info, they are full of sugar ;)

  • Mono-meals rule.

  • ur cute..

  • I live in England and I cant find any dino or kale in the shops! =[

  • @wwenaveed no, it can be really difficult - I find that farmers markets often stock it or can get it on request - don't believe it to be that popular in the uk - most gets fed to cattle (lucky things, no wonder they are so healthy). I often sub. spring greens for kale which is much more available, and can be extremely good in juice/smoothies - all the best and take care

  • NUMBER 5, chew your smoothie!!!

  • I want to mix 4 different kinds of water!!!!! I know 1 kind, give me the other 3 please!!!!

  • blah blah blah .....blah blah blah. Why amercians can make it short and crisp?

  • Watch this video - very informative and Mr. Boutenko is adorable ;)

  • Watch this video - very informative and Mr. B is adorable ;)

  • the dance at the end, thanks!

green smoothie + the dance = the future :)

i recommend the book green for life.. bought it twice and its the first thing i say on my you tube channel and to people i meet.

  • Really glad to see you back on a juice feast - I did the 92 day earlier in the year and stayed raw for a further 3 months - then some emotional stuff derailed me - I need to start again!! Was wondering if doing green smoothies would be a slightly softer option? With love etc from UK x

  • @Greenjuiceman Can you help me my friend? Im from UK too and I cant find dino or kale in the shops? Please help me.

  • @wwenaveed I get my kale at Tescos. I generally do daily spinach green smoothies and every so often do kale. I got kale from Tesco this weekend. Maybe they do it online. Also look online for organic suppliers. You will get kale from them too.

  • He is hilarious!

  • i really dont wanna sound gay but, he is cute!

  • Sergei! lol you remind me of my cousin!

  • This Green Smoothie can change your life by opening you up to better health. For there go to Faith in The Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus is the Way, The Truth and The Life.

  • he is hot...but more importantly seems to be nice

  • Молодец

  • This man is inspiring. I'm going to go out and buy a blender and start.

  • u r soooooooooooooo adorable:)

  • Seems like that smoothie has a lot of sugar in it. I need a good recipe for weight loss. Any suggestions?

  • @puebloman4 you are quite misinformed. since he is blending whole fruits and not juicing them, the fiber, water and other nutrients will slow down the absorption of the fructose thereby it won't make you gain weight. not everything is black and white in nutrition.

  • if i blend up two cups of green mold in a blender will that be good for me

  • isn't he cute and is he gay? hahaa... i wish

  • ur wish came true

  • @ohnoyoudidntx haha are you serious about him being gay? I am cute too, we could have been a great couple!! haha

  • I invite all the true green smoothies aficionados to check out ; MGMT's song ; Electric Feel , if the amazing feeling of regular drinking of green smoothies could be made into a song it would be this green, awsome , most chill out video and song !

  • Thanks for the video!

  • What a hottie. Great vid.

  • I'm glad I watched this. I don't ROTATE what is in my green smoothie.

  • Hmm. It's a lot more harder to chew kale than cabbage. So kale should be a vegetable too :S

  • I have the book Green Life and several other Boutenko books. Been wanting to start the green smoothie journey. So I just received my Jack Lalane 'emulsifier' and today is day 2...so far so good....tastes good, feels good. But question...I was wondering...I just read that the dollar weed that is such a nuisance is edible...has anyone tried the dollar weed in one of their smoothies?

  • Could I use marijuana in my smoothie? I dont have any spinach or anything, but we have lot of marijuana in our kitchen pantry.

  • @KelferMookie I would think so, if they were fresh leaves, not dried.

  • @KelferMookie i acutally saw a video of someone doing that. BUT isnt that very expensive? im sure because mary jane is very healing to inhale, that using it in food would be even more so. research it, if there are some serious benefits and you get it cheap/free then you should do it and tell us how it goes

  • @KelferMookie ROFLMAO good one

  • @KelferMookie

yes, but do not forget to put some rizzla´s in it ;-P

  • @KelferMookie marijuana seeds have plenty of b12 vitamin, so its very good for your body ! try it out

  • S, he's saying it's not good to mix greens? Like if I wanted to use, say, collards, spinach, and chard..... I should really just choose one per smoothie? Just curious because I've heard other people say different, and I'm a newbie. I want to do it the best and right way.

  • @katecraves You can mix vegetables with vegetables and fruit with fruit. However some nutritionists say you can mix vegetables with fruits and this isn't correct because you are creating a neutral pH and you want to give you body +pH and -pH one at a time at let your body level it out itself.

  • @katecraves He's just saying "more is not better". Stick with one green per smoothie to start. Experiment later if you want, but if you begin by mixing together something that's not tasty it may turn you off togoing further. i know this from experience.

  • I remember observing a healthy cat diet : eat a mouse, get all the stuff in its stomache, perfect smoothie , eat more grass to vomit your hairs. meow. that alcoloidpart was interesting though, will remember it if I am up for it.

  • he's hot

  • @azazo312 the hair is kinda stupid though

  • What's with the side view? He wasn't even looking at the camera.

  • I typed in "who's line let's make a date" why the hell does this come up???

  • there's more then one type of water ?!?

  • @12345mo1 yes. the shit that comes out of the faucet is poison. look it up for your city. there's probably a ton of toxic stuff in it, including measurable amounts of cocaine. not to mention the industrial by-product fluoride if your city was gullible enough to add it to the water supply

  • @12345mo1 Tap water, distilled water, gravity filtered water, reverse osmosis water, alkaline water.

  • looks great!

  • Yah for green smoothies! I've been loving green smoothies for a couple years now thanks to the Boutenkos' wonderful idea. The 60/40 blend and a kick butt blender are really key (I'm using a Blend-tec as well). I've gotten so many people to try & enjoy green smoothies, even when they're WAY NOT into raw. I really can't recommend these enough.

I would like to hear how multiple ingredients can "cancel each other out". Do any of their books clarify their thoughts on that?

  • Thank you so much....your family continues to inspire me!

  • Wait--there's four kinds of water?? Geez, I've just been doing plain ol' water all these years!

  • @deolaudamus maybe he means purified, distilled, alkalized, and coconut water. idk? haha.

  • Four different kinds of water?? Ha ha!

  • why does he remind me of "Andrew" from Desperate Housewives...

  • I like the video. I will try it.***

  • can you guys suggest some brands of blenders that are tried and tested. thanks.

  • @thatstheguy07,

Most people use a Vitamix or a Blendtec. I have two Vitamix blenders, one for home and one for work. Does the job.

  • @thatstheguy07 Any blender will work, but if you have the money, get yourself a vitamix.

  • first, he is adorable! and the dance at the end...lol.

great video, just started making green smoothies and they are fantastic!

  • ok that looks extremly delicius, but whats the point of puting lots of fruits, ok what i mean thats full of calories, thats just good if you have no time for breakfast to give you energy and that was a lot.

  • fruits cover the taste of veggies, and you need plenty of calories in a day to just sit there living and breathing you are burning the yummy fruits that are so good for you with lots of vitamins

  • I love your mothers book, Green For Life. I have been blending my meals making green smoothies and I feel fantastic! The weight I have been struggling to take off, is falling off. They are delicious and fun to make.

  • I don't understand why "you should combine fruits and vegetables" that just seems silly. As far as the distinction between the two: fruits are the ovaries of the plant carrying the seeds, vegetables are a root, leaf or stem. Celery is a vegetable, it is a stem and it is not starchy. I don't really trust this guys facts.

  • @MsRationalbeing

You don't have to combine them if you don't want to. There are recipes for all-vegetable smoothies too, for those with dietary restrictions who can't eat fruit. But for most of us, the fruit makes it tastier. The whole point is to get a lot of green leafy veggies into your diet.

  • Who's your mum ?

  • Victoria Boutenko

  • ok, posters are saying you are not correct in your education in this video.

Who is right? What is right?

I don't want someone to say it's safe just bcs they "saw" someone on another video. You can't know if someone is healthy just by watching a video of them.

  • dont worry about it, just blend the Greens and experiment and do what feels right.

If you do a combination and you get some gas or indigestion from it than you know to elminate that combo or modify it.

if you do another it agrees with you than keep doing it. This isnt Rocket science

Relax, have fun and get healthy !

  • Well, I want just do "what feels right." That is not scientific.

In the meantime. I will continue to go to my local health food shop who blends the drinks for me. And I will continue to research proper mixes. If you're going to do it, you might as well do it right! Bcs there's a lot of wrong info out there during this Go Green trend. So we all need to be careful not to just take people's advice without research credible sources. Thanks for the answer, though. :)

  • I meant to write "won't" not want. lol

  • go with your own logic and intuition

  • Get a Hamilton Beach dual wave blender, its only $ 60 and makes great Green smoothies !

  • Broccoli is not a starch, broccoli is a green. It's leave's and blossoms on a stem. This guy is so full of shit.

  • Broccoli is mostly consumed on the FLOWER part, thats what hes talking about and yes that is very Starchy

  • What are you drunk or something? One cup of broccoli has 4g of carbs(not including fiber). One cup of Kale has 6g (not including fiber). Cabbage, Kale, Kohlrabi, Cauliflower, and Collards are all different varieties of the same plant. Broccoli is basically kale or cabbage with a fatstem . Cabbage is kale or broccoli in a head. Kale is a leafy version, as are collard greens.

  • yes precisely, ' Kale is a leafy version'

Green Leaves are not Broccoli stems nor flowers

i think what hes referring to is the Flower part of the Broccoli as being starchy, which is how broccoli is served in Restaurants or sold in stores 99 % of the time

you are splitting hairs here when its totally not necessary

  • You are the one splitting hairs, or should I say splitting brassicas. There is no real different between putting in broccoli or collard greens.

  • actually there is, Broccoli gives me slight gas, whereas collards give me none.

If you feel No effects from Broccoli great ! im very happy for you keep doing it.

But some of us are, so he is factually correct in the video.

Furthermore, why do you even Care ? its 1% of the video content, main thing is getting people to try experimenting on their own with these.

stop making a Mountain out of Nothing

  • Like I've said. Its a small part of the video, but its the part creating all the confusion and intimidating people. I agree people should listen to their body, and if broccoli doesn't sit well with you, don't consume it. But the vast majority of people on the planet have no problem mixing fruits and vegetables, meat and milk, or meat and plants.

  • i along with most natural health educators would Respectfully disagree with you on that , the Vast Majority of the people on the Planet that Mix alot of different foods in one meal over many years time, do NOT have good digestion

  • 'Natural health educators' are spewing the same kind of completely unsubstantiated crap they hear from this guy. There is nothing wrong with mixing foods in one meal. Most 'digestive problems' these people talk about are an excuse to sell laxatives. Oh no, you farted just like every other mammal on the planet?! Take my cleanse! All real backed up scientific research, shows there is nothing wrong with mixing foods, eating properly grown and handled meat, or eating properly 'grown' raw dairy.

  • i seen a guy on you tube that blinds fruit and vegetables together an he is very healthy. also did it that one guy that sells juicers on tv have cancer and was cured by drinking carrot and apple juice. this guy is stupid.

  • RELAX

calm down, its just a suggestion, no need to get hateful on such a minor thing

  • I am all for green smoothies, one of the healthiest things out there, but the vast majority of 'food combining' is total bullshit. As long as your are eating real natural foods, and not manmadfe processed chemical crap, you will be fine.

  • some people are fine with those combos, others arent. its really ridiculous why people are upset about it on this vid, its not the main emphasis of what hes presenting but a small part

  • It is small part, but its the part creating all the confusion and misleading people.

  • its not creating any confusion or misleading anyone.

Broccoli Flowers , which is what hes referring to are naturally more Starchy than Green Leaves, thats a fact.

These are guidelines , if you want to break them than fine ! but for many people these guidelines have proved to be true.

its really not a big issue , as far as i know its still Legal to make a smoothie with Broccoli and no one will arrest you !

lol time for a reality break

  • You've been reading the comments, you can see how many people are confused. The phrase 'man people' is what, you and a few of your friends. Of all the people on this planet, very few need to pay attention to this kind of 'advice.'

  • Awesome, Sergei!

    -- John

  • Aw this guy is so cute, especially 8:16

  • i work at a food co-op and it is always amazing to me that people will complain about the price of kale and brocolli and even pass them up. and then the go spend 10 times as much on their organic wine and beer!!! chips are even the number one seller at a natural foods co-op!! amazing!

  • Wheres Igor ?

  • 8: 10 hes laughing , lol

    the crazy dance is soon

  • The fruit sugars are absorbed in your cells at a more consistently steady rate due to its mixing with the fibers, proteins and minerals from the greens.

  • Certainly true. The cost of Spinach and Kale is pretty crazy now. So I doubt the average family will be making these drinks on a daily basis. Growing our own Kale and Spinach is the way to go, now.

  • You only need to buy 7 bunches Greens a week ! you can afford it

    dont make it complicated

  • I've noticed that many of my friends/coworkers who complain about the price of veggies don't hesitate to spend $4-$5 for their daily Starbucks fix and/or spending $30 - $50+ dining out a few times weekly.

  • There are ALOT of high powered Blenders for cheap prices on Ebay

  • @glogirl7099

While they complain about a mirad of health issues :)

    GO GREEN !!

  • @glogirl7099 COSIGN 100%!!!!!!!!!

  • Thats a hell of a lot of sugar with so many fruits. It's not even healthy for many. What's the story wih this fruit and vegetable shakes? Nothing new. But anyway, don't drink so much fruit it's pure sugar, specially babanas and mangos as in the video.

  • There is a BIG difference between refined sugars and fruit sugars.

  • No there isn't. Too much fruit is also bad. I am a diabetic and I can tell you how I would feel if I ate that much fruit. So it's not good for anyone. Staying away from any form of sugar and sweet stuff is better for everyone. Even artificial sweeteners are bad (chemically toxic to the liver plus they raise your blood sugar too)

  • You're diabetic, not everyone has the same considerations as you do.

Bananas are not totally simple sugars. In fact, they are complex carbs which stabilize your blood sugar. You have to consider also that the average banana is about 100 calories, not that much sugar relatively speaking if you have one or two.

Also, most fruit is primarily water.

Lastly, these people don't claim to have anything new, just useful information in a simple format.

  • Fruit is not pure sugar. Fruit is healthy. It has many more nutrients besides fructose. When eaten in a smoothie you don't get a spike in blood sugar, it goes through your system gradually and naturally.

  • We have to buy Fruit that has been Tree Ripened, and with Seeds.

Seedless Fruits are totally Un natural, Very Hybridized and very high in Sugar and quite low in Minerals

Buy all your fruits with Seeds, the way Nature intended

  • What a hottie.
