The thing I've always really loved and admired about Debbie Gibson other than her incredible dance-pop vocals is the fact that she actually did write a lot of her own music. That's why I've always liked her way better than Tiffany who mostly just did cover songs like "I Saw Him Standing There" and "I Think We're Alone Now". Out Of The Blue is my all time favourite Debbie Gibson song and it still grabs hold of my heart to this day whenever I hear it.

Back then I'd probably have watched this video and moved to the beat.....now, I experience this and just want to cry because I miss these times so freakin' much and I miss the innocence of 80s music......the songs had actual melodies that you could hum to, the backing instruments (whether synthetic or not) were always sparkling and fun....the videos were known for creativity, not shock value.....sigh.....
