So...in the murder scene in the beginning of the film....the whole opening shot is CGI? But the young murdered couple...those are real actors....right? The people themselves are not CGI....right? But the whole city they drive through is....right?
By the way, this is how you use CG the right way, even the CG blood looks like it was shot on-camera...most CG blood in movie looks like crap, that's why I will always prefer real on-camera effects for body hits and such...but these guys in this video did a great job. 1:52
If I made the film I do it basis on all the suspects not just Aurthur Allen Lee. That an put the camera on the killer so you can see it from his prospective view an see him writing codes an letters.
Woah! I am completely stunned at the use of effects in this film!! I had no idea that some of the street scenes weren't really filmed where they happened. As always, Fincher is a director who really knows just how to use effects. You know it's good when you have no idea that it's fake. Bravo!
yeah, fincher worked for Industrial Light & Magic for awhile. I think that's how he got into film. I don't think he even went to school for it at all.
@aytches hmm. he was from an upper middle-class background/childhood, and was ALREADY into film (he/his family, as a child LITERALLY lived ACROSS the Road from George Lucas -his film "Zodiac" is almost a postcard to his childhood memories- ), he worked for Lucas, BUT obviously was not a fan of Lucas (EXACT QUOTE, after working extensively on "Return of the Jedi", from "Rebels on the Backlot" interview with David Fincher: "That Movie sucked shit through a straw. It's terrible".)...

These guys are helming the visuals for Tron 2.0 per request of Koskinski and Fincher. I'll need to bring a tissue for my nerdgasm.
