Happy Birthday Elvis’ on YOUR 77th Birthday ... You live in the hearts of those who truly love you ... your fans around the world! You will forever be the King of Rock N' Roll ~ David Harrison Levi ~ Starmaker global caring for Breast Cancer Awareness
ELVIS IS NOT A "KING" - HE IS NOTHING BUT A GLORIFIED TOM JONES WHO NEVER WROTE A SINGLE ONE OF HIS HITS. EVEN BUDDY HOLLY WROTE AND PRODUCED ALL HIS OWN ORIGINAL MATERIAL - WHY ISN'T HE THE "KING"? ELVIS IS NOTHING BUT A FAKER - HIM AND HIS WHOLE FAMILY, THEY ARE PRETENDERS TO THE THRONE. ELVIS IS AND A REDNECK, ILLUMINATI HERO OF DUBIOUS ORIGIN!
THIS SONG WAS WRITTEN BY A BLACK MAN CALLED ARTHUR CRUDUP WHO DIED PENNILESS IN 1974! AND HE IS NOT THE ONLY ONE - OTHER UNCREDITED BLACKS WROTE FOR PRESLEY, SUCH AS OTIS BLACKWELL WHO WROTE ALL SHOOK UP, DON'T BE CRUEL AND RETURN TO SENDER. ACCORDING TO MICHAEL JACKSON (AT HARLEM IN 2002) BLACKWELL ALSO "DIED PENNILESS"! MICHAEL STATED THAT MEETING OTIS BLACKWELL'S "DAUGHTER" WAS LIKE MEETING THE "QUEEN OF ENGLAND" - A NICE LITTLE METAPHORICAL "FUCK YOU" TO THE SO-CALLED "PRINCESS", LISA MARIE!
@BDSaysHi OTIS BLACKWELL WAS NOT UNCREDITED, AND HE WAS ALSO PAID WELL FOR THE SONGS HE WROTE AND ELVIS RECORDED. ALTHO I BELIEVE HE NEVER MET ELVIS , ACORDING TO A RECENT BOOK ABOUT SONGWRITERS HE LIKED ELVIS .IF HE WAS PENNILESS THAT HASNT ANYTHING TO DO WITH ELVIS BUT HOW HE HANDLED HIS MONEY SURELY. BUT HEY BLAME ELVIS FOR EVERYTHING THATS WRONG IN THE WORLD, AFTER ALL HE HAD WHITE SKIN DIDNT HE!
@JAARNO88 Well just so you don't think this is a racial issue - I am actually a white (Irish/Italian) female from Sydney Australia. Furthermore, at the conclusion of his Harlem speech of 2002, Michael said: "And remember, we are all brothers and sisters no matter what colour we are". The purpose of his speech was to speak out against racism in the music industry - not to actually encourage racism in any way.
@JAARNO88 Michael was not "blaming" everything on whites, he had many white friends and business associates and he had 50 years experience in the music industry to back him up. The reason he said Blackwell was "uncredited" is because of the vast difference between the token credit given to someone like Blackwell who as Michael said, was a prolific and incredible song-writer, as opposed to the title of "king" which was given to Elvis as if he somehow invented music itself.
@JAARNO88 Blackwell did not blow his money on frivolities and this is something else Michael covered in his speech when he said "It's not like they always say, they "spent a lot of money"; they "bought a big house". That is just stupid. That is just an excuse, compared to what artists actually make!". It is a convenient cliche to say that black artists died penniless because they "couldn't handle their money"!
@TheOnlyOneKingElvis Sure thing, I am going to listen to you over Michael Jackson - someone who spent over 40 years in the music industry? I don't think so! Michael made those statements publicly because he knew they were accurate. He would not have taken a risk like that. As for Arthur Crudup, of course the official line will always be that he "profited" off "Elvis", but like Michael said, most of these black artists "died penniless"!
@TheOnlyOneKingElvis So where are these "little boys"? Tom Sneddon did everything he possibly could, scoured the globe even, looking for anyone who had a half-believable story to testify at the 2005 trial, and what did he come up with? Nothing! When someone is a serial child-molester (or criminal of any kind) which is the claim you are amking about Michael jackson, they always leave a trace, no matter what! They can only run for so long - the law even caught up with OJ eventually!
@TheOnlyOneKingElvis Aww, wouldn't you just love that hey? Wouldn't you just love it if I were a "darkie"! LOL well piss and shits to you little boy, because I am an Irish-Italian woman of 37 years of age that has never in my life-time been "beat up" - so sorry to disappoint you .. clown! I come from amusical family, my father is a lead-guitarist of the Stratocaster and very well connected in the Australian music industry and some overseas connections as well. Nobody "beats" me up .. pal!
@TheOnlyOneKingElvis Wow! Just like Elvis and his pathetic family, the fans of the Presleys really do suffer from delusions of granduer, don't you? Well just who the fuck do ANY of you think you are? Your idol only got where he got singing other people's songs and his dumb bitch daughter has never had a Top Ten. They really are just a family of inadequte usurpers and their fans are low-bred, racist scum. Half of you can't even spell and regularly use basic, every day verbiage out of context.
@TheOnlyOneKingElvis The authorities had a good go at Michael Jackson; the FBI investigated him for over 20 years .. between the FBI, Tom Sneddon, and a grand jury of 19 members of the public, nothing was ever found that could say Michael Jackson was a sex criminal, but you are still determined to paint him as some kind of fiend? Why? Even the possession of child porn could have sent Michael to jail, but all they could turn up was heterosexual pornography, appropriate for a man of his age!
@TheOnlyOneKingElvis They annihilated his career and invaded his personal life, then, they decided to raid his house looking for evidence of serious sex crimes that never took place! Anybody could have come forward and testified at that trial; Tom Sneddon wouldn't have knocked them back, they would have been given a loud-speaker even, but there was no-one to speak because Michael Jackson never did anything like that and never would - his interest in children was completely NON-SEXUAL!
@TheOnlyOneKingElvis If you are really an Elvis fan then I don't know what your problem is. You should just settle down because Michael was never legally "married" to Elvis' daughter anyway, so you don't have to worry about "darkies", as you call them, pushing their way into the Presley family because nothing could be further from the truth! It was Michael who set up that dodgy, non-legal "wedding" - he had no intention WHATSOEVER of siring Elvis Presley's "grandchildren", so just settle down!
@TheOnlyOneKingElvis As for what he said about Elvis and the Presleys at Harlem - he has every right to his musical opinion and not only that, but was well aware how the industry and "powers-that-be" were fucking him over in the name of Elvis! He wanted to make it clear he had no truck whatever with ANY of the Presleys, including LMP, who was just a dumb, ugly bimbo to him! He wanted to completely disconnect from them! And again, as a Presley fan you should be happy about that, shouldn't you?
@TheOnlyOneKingElvis P.S. I am sure you are talking nothing but SHIT about Otis Blackwell, but even if it is true .. so what? Artists are influenced by music of all kinds. Michael Jackson was influenced by white dancers such as Fred Astaire and Elvis was obviuously influenced by black music. But it doesn't change the fact that the music industry is racist and will ultimately always try to subsume black artists into white ones; like Otis Blackwell into Elvis, or even Michael into Elvis!
@BDSaysHi Otis Blackwell "No black person could sing as good as Elvis or Jerry Lee...my influences were nearly all white country singers especially Tex Ritter"
@TheOnlyOneKingElvis I don't believe for one minute Otis said that! You are full of shit and you know it! And even if he did, well, that is only one person's opinion! Elvis was a good singer, sure, but there were other good singers and even better, like Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole.
lol beautiful elvis i think he was frustrated and eager to get rid of the band... oh yes we have a drum a guitarist and then he said.. erm yeah another guitarist.... I think he wanted pop and hardcore instead of country music style.
@VOXS2 I disagree. Yes Elvis was frustated but that was because he was tired and ill, he loved the band, they were his friends, hence the many cars he gave as gifts. Even if they did literally kill him.. Elvis spoke like that because his speech was slurred as he was heavily medicated at that stage. Hardcore? No way, Elvis couldn't even manage Hound Dog at this concert (I hate to say that). Elvis belted out some powerful greats at this concert, I just appreciate that.
@MrElvis96 hmm interesting information. Well true at some points. But i think he was some what furstrated with things not because medication. But because 1977 allready had more advance bands playing like these rock.pop.hardcore music.. even hip hop styles.. He or i gues his music just sounded very old classic specialy for the year 1977. Because 1977 there was allready more advance music beats.. pretty much music like the early 80s technology. But that elvis makes me lough. great guy he was.
@MrElvis96 By the way if all this sounded almost or was like country music.... does this mean elvis this concert or video clips of him would be catagories as "country music" ? because thats what he sounded like or at least almost with the sound and the rythem. He was indeed hardcore rock music in the 50/60s But then the 70s he looked and sounded more like he was abit too old to do the hardcore play of rock and roll. Here in 1977 sounded like just very lay back music.. almost not rock and roll.
@MrElvis96 Tho i like this music. Tho i forcus on the sound and style and rythem and its beats. So his music sounded just slightly alittle old classic music. Because 1977 there was allready almost like (techno beat tones) no not techno but almost sounding like future music of the 80s. And after all 1977 was just around the corner of the 80s aniways. Its not like 1975 to 1979 was old... from 1975 there was allready advance music sounds almost like pop dance style.. almost like a 1981 style.
@MrElvis96 So there for 1977 was allready like 1980s aniways. But with all respect elvis songs in this concert just sounded old stuff.. specialy for a year 1977 when there was allready more advance style music and disco lights and all that technology within a stadium. Its also interesting how he was in a modern design concert in 1967 that red sqaure floor with advance lightings and trent style and he wearing a very modern leather suite. But this 1977 concert the concert looks like a boring 60s
@MrElvis96 His concert in the 60s was more advance more trent style and even more trent dressing up.. Cant remember what year but it had a red sqaure floor with people around him. and on the background wall had a very advance technology almost like new york street flashing effect lights. And that concert looked almost like it should of been a 1977. But THIS concert his last concert in 1977 apears to look like a very low end concert looks almost like as if this was 1959. So its interesting.
@VOXS2 One of the reasons Ilike, no love Elvis, is the fact that he didn't bother with fancy lights or enhancements, it was just him and the TCB Band up there on stage. It shows how amazing Elvis was, not to need any uneccessary light show crap.
@MrElvis96 I think elvis has nothing to deal with how a stadium should of looked like in this one.. He was more focus on his dressing up gear and the band and his lyrics.. and the rest its upto the technical producers and lightings... But yeah course other concerts in 1977 had a much more advance looks alike style with background almost like grahic movements look alike. The only modern stuff i see this concert are the large black speakers around him on the floor. that hasnt change yet in 2011
just shut up, you don#t seam to know much about music at all, listen to the beatles sgt peppers lonely hearts club band repirse, ringo starr laying down a beat that could be used for hip hop.
Elvis needed help, and nobody helped him. Elvis was a man, and only a man, but alot of fans treated him like he was God or something. He's dead, and in this video he is high on all the drugs, which were given to him by his doctor. Gutless people, you know who you are, shame on you for treating him the way you did!
"Crazy Man Crazy" recorded in 1953 by Bill Haley is the first recognized rockabilly track on Billboard. "Shake, Rattle and Roll" recorded in 1954 by Bill Haley is the first international rock and roll hit. Long Live Rock-a-Bill.
Why was Elvis doing this show? He's visibly ill, stoned, whatever.....oh Elvis, you sacrificed your life for your fans, but I hate that you did that! You should still be with us
Elvis is the King, there is no doubt. But maaaaaaan, is he blasted on downers right there. He's falling asleep at the mike. That's why they used Rapid City for most of the TV special - in that one, he's steady on his feet and mostly awake. He was still hammered, though. :)
its interesitng since his concert in 1977 his music was more so out of date by the time it was 1977. I mean in 1977 there was allready disco music beats and allready electrifiene music tones.. Course 1977 was allready close to the 80s so. So any elvis fan please tell me why all elvis songs sounded so classic and alitle out of date in 1977 compare to other modern music sounds in 1977? I love elvis but i like your advice about this comparesing. thank you. VIVA ELVIS
standing on that stage scared as hell low in himself and all, he still poured his heart out bless him. as honest as the day is long he tells it like it is. god bless you elvis presley.
well said loungelizz5k, colonel Parker, that sack of brainless protoplasm was seen lousing whole fortune in single night, over a million in the old currency on a so called Wheel of fortune game. Now, that's not only pathetic, that's sick, because we all know how that game goes. Poor, Elvis, that's not him in the video anyway. Elvis had a great and magnificent voice, with every performance he proved that he was a great talent, the greatest, thats why its so sad to c him wasted like that.
just listen to his foul string picking, its embarrassing to think that he could not even pull off three simple cords in the end, i know, but its a fact. When young he WAS talented musician.
Thanks for sharing this. And to all the morons with the negative comments: We all know this was not Elvis at his best. You're stating the OBVIOUS. Just enjoy it for what it is. If you DON'T enjoy it, there's thousands of videos on YTube of the young Elvis or the '68 era Elvis. Now STFU crybabies and go change your fucking diaper. And if you come back, show some fucking respect for THE KING. Damn.
@loungelizard5000 dont u think that hes dangerously larddy in this video? and wouldnt u say that its at least disrespectful of him to appear stoned and drunk in front of audience, his loyal fans? For the love of gawd, there are children watching this video, i believe his mom, too, would say that this is not all right. He is obviously sick in this video, and in a need of some medical attention.
@ronthedog82 I'm just saying we ALL know this shit already. It would be like me saying over and over and over that Hitler was a dick or that it gets dark at night to you, REPEATEDLY!!! You'd be like, "Duh. Thanks for the breaking news, Walter fucking Cronkite ! No Shit !!!!" It's called beating a dead horse. It's also called stating the obvious. Yes it's true, but we've all known it now for 40 fucking years for crissakes. Parker and all the yes men were gutless plankton. We all know this.
this fat tub of lard, held together by this tight corset, is not Elvis, this is a work of that evil colonel and the rest of them demons, @67Manoli: no he's not! David Bowie is :)
@ronthedog82 No one forced Elvis to take synthetic heroin, and 150 percocets, sleeping pills, and assorted uppers and downers on a daily basis. If the Colonel made a mistake it was staying out of peoples personal lives in his old school way. It was Elvis who forced out anyone who questioned his habit and surrounded himself with weak toadies. That doesnt diminsh him it just makes him what he was a human who succumbed to the temptations of the ego. Theres several lessons in that sentence.
Those three cords changed the world. He is an epic American figure. Why on earth would anyone mention Michael Jackson? Totally irrelevant and insignificant in comparison to the King....
Sad. His voice has no resonance. He seems to have no wind, no lung power. This might have been because he wore a girdle/corset to hold in his fat gut. The guy was only 42 years old, for G*d's sake. He should have been able to shimmy and boogey all over that stage. Instead he was a pathetic, isolated, pill-popping tub of lard - used by everyone around him for their own ends. RIP Elvis. John Lennon was right - you died when you joined the army.
Wonder what was his favorite drug or pill ? Even stoned out of his mind he put on a really great show never disappointed his fans ! I am one of the lucky people who got to see him live 1976 I was 12 and my Aunt took me.God rest her soul she was like a mother to me.I think of her every day.Wish there was a way to contact the dead other than dreams and those are few and far between.
its true.......elvis is the best star in ....universe....and charlie is holding the micro....because you can see,,, he loved him.....same me ...i woud hold the mic for ...wow,,, amating
The guitar player which I presume is James Burton is throwing in the wrong riff . He is playing "My baby left me". I know they sound similar but he is screwing up that classic Scotty Moore riff! Still great all the same...
@BROOKS39 nah, he didn't screw this up. Elvis arranged it to be played that way since August 1970. The intro of My Baby Left Me was used for the Opening Theme (Before 2001:Space Odyssey was used) in 1970. But yeah, Scotty Moore always had the best original riff for That's All Right.
there is only one person who could have made elvis STOP what he was doing to himself in my opinion was priscilla when he realised just how much he loved her this would have given him the incentive he needed he wouldnt have wanted to lose her again she went along to his concerts around this time how could she have missed this he was phoning her all the time i guess she didnt care enough it breaks my heart love u elvis darling
Kim, Nobody could make Elvis stop doing what he was doing to himself. Priscilla tried to stop him, Linda Thompson tried to stop him, Ginger Alden tried to stop him, Red West tried to stop him, and in the end nobody could save Elvis from the powerful grip of addiction. Nobody could say no to Elvis.
That's what happens when you surround yourself with yes men. They are afraid to say no to their boss, and the boss does what ever he wants. Michael was in the same boat, and ended up the same way... Dead! Too damn bad, cause they were both kings during their own reign
I agree whole heartedly to everything you said. Yes men! But in the the end money bought their death, because they could afford to elude the world with their addiction. Thanks for you comments...the best ones on this blog!-
@heapsah1 n for those critising Michael n Elvis! They can't accomplish half of much of what these two absolute greats have contributed to sad sad humanity! These ppl don't know these star worked hardly for everything they achieved n got!
@1pick2sticks Michael didn´t dissapear the last 10 years of his life his last cd was in 2001. Michael and Elvis was big in there time. Elvis was big in the 50-60 and 70 Michael was big in the 70-80-90-and forever... Long live the king of rock pop and soul...
@MrElvis96 I agree i allready new m jackson was to some how die or suicide with nervs attacks.. since he was under presure... and what did u know 2008 ends there for the skinny guy
Our man didn't do himself any favours here. Because of the cameras he tried to sound more humble but it came across all wrong. Just listen to other recordings (bootlegs or whatever) from this period and you'll see what I mean.
He is so loaded, slurred speach, but amazingly rips out a pretty good live version of this, & Charlie Hodge needed to get a real job - - - - - RIP 'E'.

Here in 1977 sounded like just very lay back music.. almost not rock and roll.
VOXS2 6 months ago
@MrElvis96 Tho i like this music. Tho i forcus on the sound and style and rythem and its beats. So his music sounded just slightly alittle old classic music. Because 1977 there was allready almost like (techno beat tones) no not techno but almost sounding like future music of the 80s. And after all 1977 was just around the corner of the 80s aniways. Its not like 1975 to 1979 was old... from 1975 there was allready advance music sounds almost like pop dance style.. almost like a 1981 style.
VOXS2 6 months ago
@MrElvis96 So there for 1977 was allready like 1980s aniways. But with all respect elvis songs in this concert just sounded old stuff.. specialy for a year 1977 when there was allready more advance style music and disco lights and all that technology within a stadium. Its also interesting how he was in a modern design concert in 1967 that red sqaure floor with advance lightings and trent style and he wearing a very modern leather suite. But this 1977 concert the concert looks like a boring 60s
VOXS2 6 months ago
@MrElvis96 His concert in the 60s was more advance more trent style and even more trent dressing up.. Cant remember what year but it had a red sqaure floor with people around him. and on the background wall had a very advance technology almost like new york street flashing effect lights. And that concert looked almost like it should of been a 1977. But THIS concert his last concert in 1977 apears to look like a very low end concert looks almost like as if this was 1959. So its interesting.
VOXS2 6 months ago
@VOXS2 One of the reasons Ilike, no love Elvis, is the fact that he didn't bother with fancy lights or enhancements, it was just him and the TCB Band up there on stage. It shows how amazing Elvis was, not to need any uneccessary light show crap.
MrElvis96 6 months ago
@MrElvis96 I think elvis has nothing to deal with how a stadium should of looked like in this one.. He was more focus on his dressing up gear and the band and his lyrics.. and the rest its upto the technical producers and lightings... But yeah course other concerts in 1977 had a much more advance looks alike style with background almost like grahic movements look alike. The only modern stuff i see this concert are the large black speakers around him on the floor. that hasnt change yet in 2011

You should still be with us
qqsomething 8 months ago
Whatever his condition he still really connected with the song. You see a flash of 1954 Elvis there.

Elvis is the King, there is no doubt. But maaaaaaan, is he blasted on downers right there. He's falling asleep at the mike. That's why they used Rapid City for most of the TV special - in that one, he's steady on his feet and mostly awake. He was still hammered, though. :)
ProjectFlashlight612 9 months ago
its interesitng since his concert in 1977 his music was more so out of date by the time it was 1977. I mean in 1977 there was allready disco music beats and allready electrifiene music tones.. Course 1977 was allready close to the 80s so. So any elvis fan please tell me why all elvis songs sounded so classic and alitle out of date in 1977 compare to other modern music sounds in 1977? I love elvis but i like your advice about this comparesing. thank you. VIVA ELVIS

well said loungelizz5k, colonel Parker, that sack of brainless protoplasm was seen lousing whole fortune in single night, over a million in the old currency on a so called Wheel of fortune game. Now, that's not only pathetic, that's sick, because we all know how that game goes. Poor, Elvis, that's not him in the video anyway. Elvis had a great and magnificent voice, with every performance he proved that he was a great talent, the greatest, thats why its so sad to c him wasted like that.
ronthedog82 1 year ago
just listen to his foul string picking, its embarrassing to think that he could not even pull off three simple cords in the end, i know, but its a fact. When young he WAS talented musician.

does anyone know why elvis had charlie holding the microphone? he also did this on other occassions. it doesn't look good.
jeryd2003 1 year ago
Thanks for sharing this. And to all the morons with the negative comments: We all know this was not Elvis at his best. You're stating the OBVIOUS. Just enjoy it for what it is. If you DON'T enjoy it, there's thousands of videos on YTube of the young Elvis or the '68 era Elvis. Now STFU crybabies and go change your fucking diaper. And if you come back, show some fucking respect for THE KING. Damn.
loungelizard5000 1 year ago
@loungelizard5000 dont u think that hes dangerously larddy in this video? and wouldnt u say that its at least disrespectful of him to appear stoned and drunk in front of audience, his loyal fans? For the love of gawd, there are children watching this video, i believe his mom, too, would say that this is not all right. He is obviously sick in this video, and in a need of some medical attention.
ronthedog82 1 year ago
@ronthedog82 I'm just saying we ALL know this shit already. It would be like me saying over and over and over that Hitler was a dick or that it gets dark at night to you, REPEATEDLY!!! You'd be like, "Duh. Thanks for the breaking news, Walter fucking Cronkite ! No Shit !!!!" It's called beating a dead horse. It's also called stating the obvious. Yes it's true, but we've all known it now for 40 fucking years for crissakes. Parker and all the yes men were gutless plankton. We all know this.
loungelizard5000 1 year ago
this fat tub of lard, held together by this tight corset, is not Elvis, this is a work of that evil colonel and the rest of them demons, @67Manoli: no he's not! David Bowie is :)
ronthedog82 1 year ago

GlenQuagmireful 1 year ago

The guitar player which I presume is James Burton is throwing in the wrong riff . He is playing "My baby left me". I know they sound similar but he is screwing up that classic Scotty Moore riff! Still great all the same...
BROOKS39 1 year ago
@BROOKS39 nah, he didn't screw this up. Elvis arranged it to be played that way since August 1970. The intro of My Baby Left Me was used for the Opening Theme (Before 2001:Space Odyssey was used) in 1970. But yeah, Scotty Moore always had the best original riff for That's All Right.

there is only one person who could have made elvis STOP what he was doing to himself in my opinion was priscilla when he realised just how much he loved her this would have given him the incentive he needed he wouldnt have wanted to lose her again she went along to his concerts around this time how could she have missed this he was phoning her all the time i guess she didnt care enough it breaks my heart love u elvis darling
kimmypie88 2 years ago
Kim, Nobody could make Elvis stop doing what he was doing to himself. Priscilla tried to stop him, Linda Thompson tried to stop him, Ginger Alden tried to stop him, Red West tried to stop him, and in the end nobody could save Elvis from the powerful grip of addiction. Nobody could say no to Elvis.
bkhaskins123 2 years ago
That's what happens when you surround yourself with yes men. They are afraid to say no to their boss, and the boss does what ever he wants. Michael was in the same boat, and ended up the same way... Dead! Too damn bad, cause they were both kings during their own reign
heapsah1 2 years ago
I agree whole heartedly to everything you said. Yes men! But in the the end money bought their death, because they could afford to elude the world with their addiction. Thanks for you comments...the best ones on this blog!-
