i just found out today that my best friend is having a girl. we are doing purple. everything is going to be purple. im going to make a matching pariof the all star high top booties. im soo excited. i have until may 15th :)
I love allow your how to videos. I learned to crochet from your videos. My circle afghan is red, orange, and yellow and looks like a giant peach ring candy. It was a gift for my cousin because she LOVES them.
I really think you should change your name to the Crochet Goddess instead of the Crochet Geek. Your videos have opened me up to the amazing world of crocheting. Out of all the videos on YouTube about crocheting... Yours are by far the best! Thank you so much for making your videos. :-)
Hi teresa i have started making this awesome swirl afghan and i have reached to the part with 10 double crochet i just have a question .Do we add the double crochet with every round like you did was 4,6,8,10then it should be 12 and so on or it just should stop at 10 and continue i hope you my question sorry for the confusion thanks a million.
Hi Teresa, nice video and great job. Iam making bags and doilies now that it's summer and your tutorials are very helpful.Oh! did you watch my 1st video clip that I shared as a respond to one of your videos with my new account user name "LadyAmulla"..please watch and tell me what you think,Thanks!!.. :-)
the yarn Thresa is using looks to me like Vanna White's Purple mist by Lions brand/laughin over the nail polish reviews :) I always wanted to ask her if she used nail hardener and what brand cuz her nails always looks so lovely and long..I love this pattern and will prob make in some sort of green I am feeling spring but this purple is tempting me..but I have the yarn for green soooo here I go... ty Teresa
I REALLY love your video's! You have taught me SO much about crocheting! Thank you so very very very much! I love this pattern, I am making one with 2 strands of baby yarn, light, mint green and fun stripes held together, it looks really neat!
I always lose where I start when I am doing rounds. Is there something that I can do that will help me out other than the rings that come in the teach urself to crochet kits? Those are really difficult for me to use.
@suz8879 I use a scrap piece of yarn, contrasting color at the beginning of each round to show where the first stitch is. You move it up as you progress with each round.
Thank you so much for posting my request. But I do have a question. Is there a way you can do this in two alternating colors or is it best just to keep it one solid color? If you can do it in two colors can you do a tutorial please? I'm not sure how to.
thanks I absolutely love this pattern anyways I want to add a border to make it into a square I was wondering if you can either make a video or explain to me how to add a border to it. Thank you agian for the pattern
Another amazing project by you. I have three baby blankets in progress, but I'm going to begin this one. As I get to round 5, I'm going to change color every 5th round. Will post when finished.
Thanks Teresa. You are an unbelievable crocheter. I too love your nail color.
I am making a Off White by Caron Simply Soft. I find that i have to use a H hook. I love your instructions on the webb. You are the best I have ever seen. Due to your good instructions and clear video i have made 2 baby blankets, booties and working on this baby blanket as well. Thanks Teresa
I love your patterns, Teresa! Thank you so much for sharing with us. (:
I was a little lazy to make this afghan but I stopped after seven rounds and decreased my stitches from there to make it a hat. I'm really happy with the result and I used blue yarn.
Thank you, Teresa for doing these videos. They are so easy to follow. I am making this pattern and not sure if I will do a baby afghan, or a larger one just to throw on my bed for a decoration.... I am using Red Heart Super Saver yarn in Ocean, and I LOVE it!!!! I am only into the start of round 4 and it is looking just like this video! I have 3 boys and they always love mommy's crochet projects. Can't wait to start on the Christmas stuff!
@tjw1963 You're on facebook??? I looked for you and couldn't find you, I will have to look again.... I would love to share it with you when it's finished... I have worked up to 1 DC in 18 stitches so far, and am loving it! I can't wait to make another one using a different color!
@tjw1963 Thanks! I just Liked your facebook page, so now I know where to find you. I will get a picture to you as soon as I can get it finished. I have worked through one skein of yarn so far and attached another. Wondering exactly how large I'm going to make this. Thought about making it for a baby, but I LOVE the colors, so I am thinking it will be for me, and I will just make another one for my friend who is having a baby.
I was really inspired by this. I'm not making this exactly but I'm making a round baby afghan with a zig zag space pattern around the outside and the middle is a slightly checked pattern. Thank you for making awesome videos!
I love to crochet! It is so relaxing to me. Some people tell me it makes them nervous to do "all those little stitches" LOL. Now I'm finding it so relaxing just to watch you do it. With the sound down, it's like having one of those sensory projectors like they use in Snoezelen rooms that cast light and pictures on the walls. So relaxing. I wish I could make this my screeen saver!
OMG!!! I LOVE this. I was even able to follow the video even though I'm left handed. I thought this would be too complicated, but thanks to your instruction, I was able to do it! I'll post pictures on your Facebook page once I get it completed.
I so want to make this, but I'm not sure what color I will use. I'm going shopping this weekend and will long for yarn for this project. :-) Thank you SO MUCH, Teresa, for all your inspiration, help, and encouragement.
I am going to try this in a light mint color for an upcoming baby shower. I haven't ever made one of these afghans in a swirl before so it will be very exciting. And again thank you so very, very much Teresa for everything you do to help all of us out here.
Baby afghans & lap robes are about the same size. Round is a perfect shape for a wheelchair lap robe because there is no corners to get caught in the wheels. I'll definitely come back and make one!
oooo love the nails!!! so sexy! lol you have such nice love and MATCHING nails, they are yours right? :) and that yarn is super pretty what kind is it???? it actually matches the nails perfectly ^_^
wow thankyou for taking you time and doing these videos with such detail and patience.I am a very visual person and somtimes when i look at written patterns i get so lost so you videos are perfect.
This design looks so pretty. I need to grab some yarn and try this one out! Thank you for posting such an awesome video tutorial. I just can't get over how easy you make it seem. You are quite simply the best teacher out there.

Wonderful tutorial. How many skeins did your completed project require using the K hook?
tulipsun21 2 months ago
if you wanted to make this a bit bigger than a baby afghan, would you make the chain 3 space bigger too? or add a third chain 3 space?
TheRealWolfy 2 months ago
@TheRealWolfy To make it larger, you will continue on with increasing. It is up to you how you want to modify if you want to add extra chains.

@sadiakak You will need to continue increasing so it will lay flat. If you were to stop increasing, the edges would curl up and form sides.
