  • tuners just jizzed their nuts

  • @Deazballs Tuners shit themselfs when they see the air moving around them from real muscle

  • Beautiful, I got a chubby listening to this motor!!!

  • people running holding there ears!

  • im going to be building a 383 stoker blown with a 6 -71 can i see your specs you said you would put on here. awesome engine man

  • Thats always been my favorite song!!

  • this is insane could you please tell me wat make blower its size and any information you got on this i would like to supercharge my 383

  • its the best seeing him control it. he,s really enjoying it you can tell. i just had 2 questions...cost? and size of the blower?

  • Hey I'll try to post info on the motor today or soon. Have a full engine spec sheet around here somewhere

  • how much did it cost you to get all that horse power

  • horsepower? thats like my dream engine!

  • i hope thats after its been broken in....

  • Who built it (what shop)

  • That thing is sick, just blew up my 327,would love to get some specs on that monster, would be great in my rat rod

  • what all is needed to build this motor? if you can give a parts list that would be awesome..i will greatly appreciate it im just getting into drag racing and would love with engine Thanks a Lot

    Josh

  • well a 383 is a 350 block strokered into the 383. so get the 350 motor and get a stroker kit. everything should come with the kit. then get the manifold and carb and blower. probablly get flat top pistons too as well if your racing. and a smaller cc head if you can. i have camelback heads on my 383 and they are the best for the 350 block. so thats about it. cost a shit ton but worth it... bore the motor over 30 or 40. and get a good port and polish on the heads. i did my own for mine.

  • get a 350 block, take it to the machine shop have new frost plugs cam bearings installed, bore and hone .030 over, have the cam side of the cylinders and the outside of the cylinders machined to clear a 3.75 stroke (sometimes the oil tray surface too) get some low compression like 26cc inv dome forged pistons, assemble, throw some good heads on it (like afr 195cc which is good for what you want to do up to 6500 or so) get a blower cam with 230/236 dur. .522/.544 lift assemble with 2 650dp's n go

  • its a 350 bored 30 over with a modded 400 crank in it.

  • damn talk about a hard on!!!!!

  • it is a 680 overall lift custom cam.... im running around 12lbs of boost... and the blower makes it idle like that, if you listen to it in person you can hear 3 revolutions of the blower between each surge of the idle

  • thats a huge cam, 250+Duration i bet.

i hope you got c-16 for that bi*ch haha

how many plbs. of boost is it running?

  • thats a huge cam, 250+Duration i bet.

i hope you got c-16 for that bi*ch haha

how many plbs. of boost is it running?

  • dam that thing sounds good!

  • what kind of fuel are you runnning c-10 or c-12?

  • ...i am drooling at the mouth, over this engine

  • wow listen to it whine

  • what the is in that motor theres suttin go on lol nice motor go good in a hot rod

  • shit that thing would go great shitting in my 1985 Monte Carlo

  • Very nice! Would work well in my 66 Chevy2. I'd like to see video of the car it goes in blasting through the 1/4 mile! Please post more videos!

  • almost sounds like a big block.

  • yeah, that's the first sbc that I've heard idle like that (the surge). usualy blown alcohol big blocks idle like that.

  • it might be that the blower is overdriven. Just a guess though.

  • right on, I never was clear what made them idle that way. I love it... goosebumps in person. lol

  • its the cam that causes the idle

  • the only engines that I've ever heard idle that way have been blown and usualy on alcohol. so, it's probably a combo of the supercharger and the cam huh?

  • i would say that it is from the blower creating boost from the last surge/ the carburetors compensate with the pressurized bowls with fuel, the delay in all this causes surging as the engine idles. when the fuel that was slightly delayed reaches the engine bang, there goes the blower pulley= more boost= more compensation= continuing surging right? ( i believe the supercharger carburetors have a special pressurized circuit that compensate boost with fuel?

  • possible yes, most likely though its the cams in the motor. the cam is what gives the motor its pulse weather it be an extreme like this or a simple idle you hear on the road... this is probably a custom built cam the cylinders fire close together so you get a pulse then a dead spot, but at higher RPM is where it is much more efficient. look up some vids of drag cars, you will hear it more.

  • I always thought that idle was from an overdriven blower?

  • yeah thats the sickest 383 ive ever seen. id love to see dyno charts and full specs on the motor.

    would be like christmas =(

  • what cam is that dude?

  • im wondering the same. i love supercharger surge. whats the specs on the cam @ .50? and lobe sep degrees?

  • seriously....i've been trying to get the guy to at least let me know what cam he has in it....maybe he is trying to keep it a secret or something

  • That idle lope is why its called the HEARTBEAT of Chevrolet!

  • nice music. I love that song too.

  • by the looks of the exhaust position thatsgoing to be put in a dragster right?

  • No, you are looking at the front of the engine. They put the headers on backwards because the dyno/control panel is at the rear and you dont want the exhaust blowing at you!

  • funny it looks like there tunning it in there house

  • Thats one hell of a sound

  • wow i could sit there and rev it all day. nice house fan setup haha

  • how much gas did you go through hahaha

  • hey, not that you check this, but i would like to see a build sheet if i may. thanx.

  • one more thing to add, there is NOTHING that sounds better than the right blower/cam set up at idle, for a car guy, nothing compares....well...maybe...you know...lol

  • girls?

  • yeah, honestly, 383 is probly the best way to roll. the 400 was a great power motor, unreliable as hell, so, you are combining the reliabilty of the 350, the stroke (torque) of the 400, good affordable, reliable street combo. i've three small block cars, one big block truck. big block...good for towing..lol.

  • LMAO the lady that walks by holding her ears! haha!

  • I love the way those things idle.

  • please tell me what kind of cam u have that so right

  • better than sex. i have got to get one

  • This thing rocks. I was looking at a Big Block for my '71 Blazer, but Im having second thoughts about a 383 again. lol Nice work.

  • go for a big block,, no repacement for dispacement... throw on some alluminum heads on a stroked big block and i tell you , you wont be didapointed..

  • Not every car can fit a big bock. Thats why the 383 Stroke motor is one of the best small-blocks money can buy.

  • true, and the 383, from what i hear is a very torquey little motor...

  • Omg is it ever lol we had a paxton supercharger on ours which was in an 89 trans am. the car literally had atleast 500hp to the rear-wheels

  • hmm. pretty good. i just had a 489 BB Chevy built and it is not blown or 'done to the tits' and pulled 602 Horsepower and 592 FT Lbs of torque.. i dont know what i will make at the rear wheels, but a BB Chev would definetly fit in a Trans Am.. click on 454440 and you will see the video... :)

  • BLOWN? by the supercharger or the fan! \0/

  • thats sounds insane

  • its around ll00 horse on 8 lbs of boost if i remember right

  • what are the numbers on that?

  • i saw that beast run. haha

  • that is soooo sick!.what kind of ponies is that?.

  • where can i get one???
