My thought is that the "I'm not Mrs. Peel anymore" reference was to Diana Rigg's appearance in ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE. A similar reference was made for Cathy Gale when Honor Blackman was Pussy galore in GOLDFINGER.
