It is made of PVC but has millions of tiny cells inside of it, which make is more flexible and resistant to cracking and such. I Work for the company, and I do see alot of scratched deck boards, but only on the underside. The top has a wood grain imprint in it that would be pretty hard to scratch. I handle this material every day and it does seem like a nice product, but worth the price ?
@SADE774 - the decks, so I was told, are made out of pvc pipe material. doesn't scratch, doesn't stain. (I was one of the participants in the commercial). The gentleman who owns the house loves it. Bit pricey, but it does look great.

WOW... I need to replace my deck- saw this commercial on tv and been looking at this option.. anybody own one? is it really easy to clean?
