Watseka Theatre Watseka Illinois has great country music concerts in 2011; July 2 Marty Stuart; July 15 Bellamy Brothers; August 5 Josh Thompson; August 26 Ricky Skaggs.
I remember this. It was the first time U of I was closed for more than one day due to hazardous weather. My roommate and I got the email from admin and within ten minutes were at the bar/playing in the snow.
Plus it was my Spanish professor's first time seeing snow. He asked if it was normal. Ha ha ha.
I agree with your stance on global warming; global climate upswings and downswings have been occurring for millions of years, long before humans were ever around. However, I will say that we probably are accelerating the upswing. I just don't think it's as immediately life-threatening as some scientists insist that it is. There will always be blizzards, there will always be devastating hurricanes, there will always be severe weather.
Global warming is a phenomenon that effects climate change over a period of hundreds of years. The United States and other portions of the world will still continue to see winter weather. Cold temperatures and snow storms doesn't mean the effects of global warming haven't affected the United States.
As a person with a masters degree in atmospheric sciences, I am not wrapped up in any type of political drama. Global temperatures haven't changed? Short and long term temperatures most definitely have changed. Ignorant people like yourself will ignore the mountain of evidence to prove that global temperatures have climbed dramatically more since humans have inhabited the Earth then ever before. Also, as an Atheist, common sense reveals no "god" or religion associated with this issue.
You should get some of your money back with regard to your Masters. Basic Reading skills would have said I consider your religion to be Global Warming. You seize upon cherry picked data. Temperatures have not changed beyond the ordinary. There is so much data coming out that questions the concept of global warming, i.e. the activity of the sun, the range of change on other planets.
You are simply a glorified drama queen, wanting to be one of the stars of this melodrama and are a fool.
Scholarship, my entire UofI educational career didn't cost me one penny. In regards to my references to ignorant people, I rest my case. I love how people who are so unsure of themselves resort to name calling and bigotry as a last attempt to make false claims just like the religious people.
And yes, I am sure that you are. The fact that you remembered someone's dogma and claim scholarships mean nothing to me. You most likely "won" it for being the only left handed Inuit with a high school diploma.
You won't discuss the huge evidence that models, data, and the like for having proven man-made global warming are being disproven daily.
left handed Inuit?.. Damn, ya got me there! How did you know? Facts don't matter? Good point, good point. Go get a prostate exam, old man and enjoy the rest of your feeble life scouring YouTube for people with more credentials then you've ever dreamed about and making belligerent, meaningless attacks. If you want to start talking about climatological issues, acquire some education about it first!
oh yea right, hell i dont care tho i love to see a blizzard!!!!!!! snow!!!!! ah!!!!! yes!!!! O.O beatiful, and you can make money buy shoveling snow to ;D well i dont need it buy hell still love snow!!! walking in a winter wonderland!!, let it snow!!, all i want for christmas is you!! omfg i love christmas baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@jonfredricks1987 Technically that is a blizzard, winds were probably sustained at over 35 mph with gusts over 45 and this did indeed last for 3+ hours. Visibility looked like it was down to a couple blocks here so yeah by technical definition it was a blizzard. Conditions however can get much worse than this. I don't remember everything with this storm, however I'm sure they were much worse (visibility) in the open country.
We had to go to a funeral that day, what an experience to say the least. after I shoveled what the plows blocked our drive with, we had a 7 ft mound by the mailbox heheh
We had a total snow accumulation of two feet in Westville, Illinois, just south of Danville. I have a video on here of my friends and I building an igloo on Valentine's Day, the day after.
Good work on the blizzard. I live over in Decatur, Illinois and we had about 10 inches. Now it's the end of March and it's 80. Go figure. Love the guy shoveling. My neighbor did the same thing. It was totally pointless.
watseka theatre watseka illinois 2011 more great concerts;

It's ironic how USA produces the most CO2 emissions in the world yet they are the only ones who haven't seem to be affected by global warming.
Lilia1992 3 years ago
Not that it was the reason we had a blizzard that winter, but the idea of global warming, fact or fiction would actually cause cooling in some areas.

Global warming is junk science. Everyday there is evidence showing that temps have not change, the earth is simply going through it's regular changes.
Many scientists, brave ones who are not wrapped up in the political drama and the resultant cash cow don't buy into global warming at all.
And that doesn't even address the silliness of manmade global warming.
Global warming is just another religion, with it's own demands for faith and its own belief system.
