I love Wenche, and this is a good song full of good cheer, but the stage is too small for so many people. It should have been just her, her personality is so big she doesn't need all those dancers flitting around her!
A very good and catchy schlager, with a solid performance and some nice lyrics, but I think this performance is way over-the-top, almost as Sweden in ESC 1986.
It looks like you take the ESC seriously with that stage & production - in the UK its a second thought where they hold it & what the stage looks like -the audience numbers is only about 80!
LOL! Norway was in a rather hard economic situation at that time, as you can see. This is in the Oslo Spektrum, the ESC 1996-arena so I guess it's about 6000 in the audience here! Take a look at the videoes from our NF in 1994, the same arena, but with a much better stage!
Vilka år har Wenche varit med i Melodifestivalen? 1966, 1992 och 2009? Är det fler gånger?

Quite mediocre, I'd say.

Translated to English it would have been "Your day is tomorrow" or something like that.

Wenche Myhre skal være med i den Norske Grand Prix finalen i år med melodien "alt har mening nå" :D
Kanskje vi nå en gang for alle kan få svippa Wenche Myhre til den internasjonale finalen ;)

In Sweden there are 30 000 audiene members and the national finale is more grand than the Eurovision (in my opinion).

I had loved to see how this would have finished in the Eurovision final! Such a great song!

Should have won easily, I love Merethe but Wenche was always underrated in MGP
primadonna11 3 years ago 13
Especially in such a bad MGP edition, this should have won easily indeed. She was way more appreciated in Germany than ever in Norway.
Euroencyclopedic 3 years ago
Yes, you right:) It's a shame, it would have placed higher than "Visjoner".
primadonna11 3 years ago 8
Not necessarily, if she would've performed after Iceland's nej eda ja, it could've bombed easily...
So around Iceland's to Netherland's placing, maybe...

"Radio Luxemburg" probably would too. But Wenche Myhre still had the best contender for Norway's entry that year, and should have been the one.
