I was seven years old and my teenage brother introduced this to me. I thought I was the only one who remembered them. The style was so unlike what the other bands had to offer. Love it!!!!! Thanks for posting. You made my day.
I found this album at the radio station last week and played this track! Reminds me of The Move around "Looking On". Forms and Feelings sure sounds a lot different than Blues Helping.
@BBINGHAM032352 does it include the full "Mars' track before 'Sabre Dance"? The cut survived in the US but never appeared on the UK version of the LP due to legal moves by Gustav Holst's estate. Given that Love Sculpture was a British group, standard practice woulud be to go to the UK for master tapes for CD issue . . . so I'm wondering . . .
Hi there...I'd like to make a cover of this gem with my band but cant find the exact lyrics anywhere on the net...would anyone care to post them?Thanx guyz....
In 1970 the Dutch prog rock band September released a 7" called "Little Sister" with the precise refrain as in this masterpiece, Anyone with some info about this?
Maybe they heard Love Sculpture song and that was inspired for Semptember to create the own similar refrain in 'Little Sister'. Let's name it - imitation :)
At 02:23 probably the greatest instrumental break ever. That heavy bass sound must have made an awful lot of tiny car speakers rattle like hell in '68.
I was recently in a second hand record shop in Soho London and came across this LP. I didn't know if the band or the LP was called Love Sulpture. There was not much info on the back but I bought it out of curiosity..and am I glad I did ! This track is superb as are the rest of the tracks on the album. Hooked !
Dave Edmunds has GOT to be Knighted, and inducted into the Hall Of Fame, or there is no justice in the world.

Hi. September later changed name for Cargo and recorded only one LP on Harvest label.

@vandergraaf78 I know. But what i want to know is, how they came
upon the idea of using this refrain, supposing that they where
aware of the excistence of the original.

A true masterpiece and a legendary album. "Blues Helping" is a masterpiece just the same. Amazing vocals and arrangement.
