The answer to that is simple enough: because MTV only airs crap now. 3-South might have been the last good show that MTV aired. It's not like MTV wasn't showing crap in 2001-02 when 3-South was on the air, but the programming on that channel these days is just putrid.

The show's creator went to Miami University (Oxford, Ohio); I went there too, and it's uncanny how much the academic buildings of this show resemble the actual ones at Miami. The library (at least the outside) is dead on. Rock on Miami!
