  • Yum I'm going to eat with mommy even if she don't like it lol here i come mom ha ha ha i got some 5/5*

  • Charlie would be a little devil doing this sometimes too. Try to keep Rudy away from lettuce though.

  • Rudy gets his own lettuce leaf or broccoli floret every morning. That doesn't stop him from wanting to get into our dinner though.

  • No seriously, a lot of lettuce will give him diarrhea.

  • He doesn't get iceberg lettuce (the bad kind) at all. Usually he gets one leaf of Romaine or Red-leaf or some other dark green lettuce, or spinach or broccoli each day. And he doesn't even eat all of it.

  • This is one of the cutest videos ever! Rudy is just so adorable! Sounds like he made a 'happy chirp' a few times there. I love when budgies do that. Whatever you have there does look good:) (looks like a salad).

  • Thank you. It was a salad. Rudy likes dark green lettuce, so he was head down in mom's bowl trying to get it. I was the one recording the video, so that's not me you see.

  • Great video response - Thanks!

I can't blame Rudy - whatever it is you're eating, it looks good - I'd be trying to steal a bite too!

  • It was a salad that mom was eating there so nothing Rudy couldn't have. I was recording, so you can hear - but not see - me.

  • Was there no "dressing" on the salad with spices? Salty foods are not desirable for budgies... We often think we're having healthy foods we can share with our budgie, when we've used butter, salt, etc... Even the bacteria in our saliva is harmful to them, so it is not really recommended to have a budgie eat from food that has touched your mouth... (NOT a "reproach" but just a piece of info you might not be aware of...)

  • I don't remember if he actually got any pieces of lettuce with dressing on them or not. He was going for pieces that were stuck to the side of the bowl. I know saliva isn't good for them either - that's why I make sure my lips are dry when Rudy decides my face needs to be preened.
