I love Mercedes-Benz, and my unfortunately former 450SEL 6.9. But I think that this kind of faithfulness to a car can apply to the owner and car no matter what vehicle. A beautifully created piece by Mercedes-Benz. Made me wanna cry.

Merkley and Partners (the marketing firm who made this and, several other MB ad's) are geniuses and really instill love and passion towards a Mercedes-Benz *runs out and hugs my 83 240D*
I love the 190E too, it was a great car. Let's not kid ourselves though, having a commercial about build quality and showing the ML twice is very ironic. That car is a piece of crap. Well, any post 1995 Mercedes is a piece of crap.
I am a BMW driver and fan, but must say this commercial-the short version and this one- really motivate you to buy one of these. Love that 1971 220D, that car has my age!!! LOL at the fact that he is "high in the mountains of Bavaria" and drives a Mercedes, great testament. All of these cars are beautiful.
continuation of my 1st post, the charred W123's passenger safety cell was intact, and the bus driver was arrested and detained for reckless driving resulting to homicide. I drive a 1966 200 petrol which has a passenger safety cell which is been a while back then, the first was in the Ponton models.
4 nights ago, in our local news, In Quezon city,Philippines, a 3-vehicle mishap; a 6 wheeler truck, a bus and a W123 MB. It was a doctor driving the MB. The story was; the truck and the MB was waiting for a green light, all in a sudden, a speeding bus rammed into the MB then into the back of the truck. the MB burst into flames killing the doctor, when the fire's out, the coroner was able to open the door to retrieve the doctor's remains,the doctor wasn't crushed to death but burned to death.
Lexus doesn't have commercials like this. I have had 3 Mercedes and my mom just bought a 2008 c300 - I will always drive a Benz. There really is nothing else like it. No other company has the heritage as MB. They are safe, stately and entertaining to drive. I love my Mercedes Benz!
This is literal proof that the Mercedes Benz is the real article. Nothing holds back any other auto makers as you said from making videos for their cars, save for hmm lets see, durability, build quality, and longevity.

Not at all, I mean like when they built my '92 W201 190E 2.6, one of their last cars they deliberately over-engineered. My benz is teetering on 160,000 miles now and has had no trouble outside of the matters that come up on a high mileage car. Nothing rebuilt, no overhauls, no replacing of anything major. Still drives like a champ too!
If you buy one or own a Mercedes already, this commercial needs no further explanation. I have owned my Benz for a mere 7 months, and I can no longer fathom owning any other brand of car, much less do I expect I'd need another car soon as my Benz is 'faithful' just like the cars of the ad are to their owners.

I have a 1987 300D turbo, 230,000 miles, original engine and transmission, my own stupidity is the only damage it suffered but the body work is 99% done and provided I can find the patron saint of machinery, she will see another 200,000. I also realized not long ago, that car has has used more fuel value than it's original sticker cost.
Its a diesel, you will easily see 400,000 miles. A cab driver in Greece put 2.8 Million miles on his '76 240D which is the world record top mileage for any car out there. A coworker at my last job has a '78 240D with 280,000 miles on the car, so it can be done.
