Female faces is a real problem in this program and it needs mayor improvement (both with photofit as with random faces)...

Like you see in 2:40, virtually no female faces are generated and doing it manually is near impossible as well.

Furthermore, adjusting the parameters needs to be updated in UI design and functionality. It doesnt just look outdated, it slows down workflow considerably.

Look at 3DS Max button/sliders and implement that.

Right now this is not worth 300 bucks guys..

@Shainkov it is because the facegen people would have to make totally different models and put a lot of work to create children, you can still create teenagers though, babies and toddlers need a bit of work but they can be done.

Now. Extend all your fingers by opening your hand, take hold of your Pointer and Pinky, and fold the rest of your hand into a fist.

That should do it.

Horns are pretty useful. Like 2-finger double-nostril nose-picking.

You misunderstood. He wants to make a facegen of Ledger which will need many more pictures than ones that you find on the internet. In every picture you'll find of him, the lighting and angles wouldn't be how they should, and every picture would need to match lighting and Ledger's looks. Creating an entirely CGI person that looks at least 99% human will not be possible for another 5 or 10 years, let alone being realistic and versatile enough to be in a feature film.

Hey, um, when I do a face in FaceGen, the texture is all messed up. It's gray in some places and looks really weird. Do you know how to fix it, maybe? *hopeful*

I think you'll have to unwrap it, to get the textures to work properly. Try using RoadKill, its a pretty powerful UV unwrapping tool.

are you kidding?! The demo's free as the video says, but do you really expect the full version of a program this advanced, with all the features you saw in the video, to be free? I don't even dare to immagine how many hours, days, months, it took to program all this. Be reasonable, if it does what it says, then it worths what it costs.

Look, I agree that some companies are taking undue commercial advantage from proprietary products, generating profit that often times isn't shared properly with the true authors of the products, and in this sense yes I welcome torrents and p2p to counter this trend.

However, I believe we must give credit to the hard work of people and provide them with the return from their efforts, i.e., pay the due amount for their products. You should be thankful they chose made this at all.

Yes of course, but some time I wonder why the guys wonder that their products are spread in p2p but then have them at such prices.

I mean, if I would sell a software (and I am a programer, so I know what creating software costs), I would offer more versions. The free version of this one here is quite useless as it does not allow you to export meshes. I had no problem to pay for that, but 300$?? Come on! Give the hobby artists a "lite" version, and more will pay. Less is more sometime.

Yes I read it, and that's pretty much what I said. A program many might like for a cheap price and they buy it like crazy. I know about midi whistles that go for 1000 and more $ for the pro music artists...

There are programs like AutoTune, that correct notes you'r singing to stay in the chord. It costs 400$ and is widely used in pro music studios. But there is no version for homeguys that just want to record their valentine songs... so they get the piece from p2p...

well...ill be honest I never bought any programs in my whole life...such as windows2000-...-windows vista , office2000 up to office 2010 , maya 2008-2009, 3dsmax 09-10, facegen, zbrush, mudbox, flash, all version of photoshop, over one thousand dvds of tutoriels for 3D modeling and animation and render, about 30k songs, thousand of movies , and more stuff....u will probably say my computer must have a lot of virus well...I was a programmer before so I can remove any virus I get ;)
