How cold it is right now in America is a symptom of global warming. Because the heat is melting the ice caps and putting fresh water into the ocean (salt water) and the fresh water is disrupting the water currents which bring heat from the equator up to us. With no current there will be less heat on the East side of America because that is where the current is. I am in Michigan and we would normally be in the 50's or 60's right now but we just got like 6" of snow last week.

Global Warming was gonna happen regardless of wether humans were there or not, for natural reasons. However if it was just natural reasons, the process would take a VERY long time.

First of all, i think global warming is human caused, but that's kinda irrelevant isn't it? The fact is, whether it's natural or not it's happening and unless we do something soon bad things will happen (ie. cyclones, droughts, floods etc.) My solution is to get everyone on earth to turn their air conditioners on. That should fix it :-P

What the scale means is that there is a certain amount of CO2 meant to be in the atmosphere which the planet regualtes itself, we burn fuels and disturb that balance. yea, but they can sample "prehistoric"(i guess that's what it is)ice and chart it out. what they have found is that, you are correct there have been huge spikes in g.h. gasses over the years and immediately followed by a cooling, and those where completely natural. but, you can pinpoint where this climb in g.h. gasses started around the time of the industrial rev. and its climbed higher and faster than EVER before. so in my opinion it's naturally man made, we gave a natural event steroids.

The fact is, whether it's natural or not it's happening and unless we do something soon bad things will happen (ie. cyclones, droughts, floods etc.) My solution is to get everyone on earth to turn their air conditioners on. I recycle (paper, plastics, and aluminum), drive fuel efficient cars, had a new home heating/cooling system put in my home to lower energy consumption, and will be going solar when the new system comes out that Gates, turner, etc are putting together.
