no on 2 strokes you have to do more maintenenance on like change pistons rebuild etc on 4 strokes tho they see mto live forever i would get the yz250f they are four stroke :D

WRONG two-strokes are alot lower on maintenance. I know I rode 5 hours a weeked all season and only put a piston in once a season and didnt have to just did it to keep everything in tolerance. My grandfather, dad, brother and me are all mechanics and have many years experience in all mechanical criteria.The new 4 strokes are not the old low R.P.M. engines thay used to be their runing higher R.P.M.'s than two strokes and have 20+ moving parts in the top end alone plus slipper pistons.

yeah i kept mine at 32, but i was told by a few of my buddies who are mechanics to run full synthetic in it and run it at 50:1. i trust my friends, but i just never switched to the synthetic. 50:1 just seems like too little oil to me.

50:1 is way way to little, also, running 50:1 means you will have more fuel in one litre of petrol than a litre of petrol at 32:1, if that makes sense, consquently changing the fuel air mixture, running at 50:1 would be running the engine rich on fuel, starving it of oil.

yeah one of my buddies told me to run it 50:1 and then after that he said 125's are ticking timebombs just waiting to blow and be rebuilt and i basically went yeah so i'm not gonna run it 50:1

yeah i did love the hit of the powerband from my 125, but being realistic, a 4 stroke is so much more suited to track use due to the spread of power, i have picked up the 250f now, its a freeking beast, it feels faster than the 125 simply due to having power RIGHT there when you crack open the throttle. Sounds amazing too, couldn't be better, im so glad i sold the 125 and got the 250f.
