  • Very inspiring man. You have no idea

  • You have the motto as me :D

  • dude i was the same way. i went to a performing arts high school and had the same feeling during that time. wow..... didn't think i could relate. i've been acting and taking classes since a young age (around 5 yrs. old). peace and blessing to you man. inspiring words.

  • type PRIZE before youtube and hit enter

  • I totally understand what you're saying! I live in Cincy too, and they are going to be demolishing Anderson High School pretty much as soon as I graduate :(

  • what kind of camera is that? very professional!

  • Hey the great things take time! I think most youtubers were late bloomers. Accept it, embrace it and DO MORE NOW! btw- love Lisa Lavie in BLT's new vid, y'all are positive peoples! xD

  • Aww i see ur using the new camera? It looks great! And i wish i had done more in high school too :( which is why im pushing to be realllly active in my college. like clubs, teams etc :) something to look forward to. Great vid

  • Nice video its a great message. There are many things people can do and my high school years are the same. I even was still shy up until two years from now but now I am starting to break out of my shell and do more things. I regret that I didn't do more in the past but the more that I do for myself now the better I can make my life and for others. I really enjoyed that video your my second role model other than Will Smith lol.

  • Why do later what you can do now? That's what I tell myself when I feel like a procrastinator.

  • thanks

  • im a reeeeeeeeal nostalgic guy,

i justn hope hen i look back in life that i used my time well..........i think i am doin ok now but i could and shoul be doin more

thx AC for an insightful vlog

  • I hear ya...

  • Deep. Thanks for the advice! :)

  • camera seems laggy

  • Not to worry!

High school is a time a LOT of people use to "come out" more.

    .

It was hard to know then, what you now wish you had done.

Just like now--Does anyone really know *now* what they will *later* wish they had been doing right *now*?

    .

But I do agree it's (usually) best to 'go for it'... people usually end up regretting *not* doing something...

    .

I wish I'd rambled MORE, back in February 2011.

not very often do you hear people saying they're sorry they *did* things.

  • @DoRayMeFa you wish you had rambled MORE back in FEB 2011? were 4 days in. heheheheh

  • I don't like when people say they don't regret anything either, Everyone regrets something!..

  • Great Vlog! I agree one hundred percent. I went to a Performing Arts High School and didn't do a lot MORE until my Senior year. So I feel you. My channel now is an expression of what' always been inside me, but you're right. Do more NOW! =)

  • Good video man. You gave me something that Inspired me and made me really think. I completely understand where you were coming from on this one.. Thank You Sir!!!

And the Video Quality looked Great! ..Was this shot with the New Camera?

  • @xxtriggaxx908 yeah heheheh

  • yeah :) a little grainy, slightly blurry but Im learning

  • @Alphacat Lol, Just take the Compliment.. I'm sure you'll get the hang of it in no time. It actually looked real good!

  • looked like a commercial

  • Yo this camera is dope. Very nice! I was so happy that I had a bigger sister to push me to do all the things i did in high school: about 8 plays, year book committee, prom committee, national honor society, class treasurer, and I had 2 successful business while in high school.

  • Thank youu

  • Cloudy day = Epic video lighting

  • @AchievementsRock heheheheh

  • lighting reminded me of a TV detective episode, ALA Hill Street Blues. (Shut Up! Yeah, I'm OLD DAMMIT!) Cool video.

  • Thanks...that has been a theme amongst myself and Friends for this year.

  • Yeah, it gets interesting trying to balance life as your responsibilities grow. I mean, it's hard for me to think about all the stuff I could be doing to pursue my interests and passions when I've got my husband and kids to care for. Finding a balance is so crucial because it's not a good example to sacrifice who I am for the sake of being SuperMom and it's not right to sacrifice caring for them just to chase my dreams. All in the balance.

  • I think we have all been there at one point or another thinking back and all

  • Very thought provoking and inspirational.

  • I don't think there's anything wrong with being to yourself sometimes, because there's always going to be those days when you just feel like you wanna have some me time. I totally get what you're talking about because I was almost the same way in high school, even though I am the kind of person who people just like to talk to...so I ended up having a lot of friends even though I wasn't really trying to get much.

  • @TheK1ngOfQueens wow thats not funny this is serious and your really an asshole.

  • your close to PA.. come visit harrisburg!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • thought this was drake

  • nice vlog, it's always the things you did not do, you regret... not the things you did do

  • @DysisTend pretty sure some people do things they regret 0.0

  • Keeping it real, the way vlogs were intended.

  • Wow Iman a lot of my friends where in Fame. I went to the High School of Music & Arts in NYC and because I was a freshman I couldn't take Gospel Choir that year but if I could I would have been in the movie too! Every time I see that movie and see my friend faces it really takes me back to when life was so much easier and there was Hot Lunch! I just recently reconnected with a lot of M&A alumni thru Facebook. Doing more now is great advice and I'm trying to do just that. Thanks for sharing.

  • I knew this video was gonna be good when I saw the title! Wise words there Iman, I'll definitely keep this in mind. Thanks.

  • Hey, I went to Performing Arts in Cleveland and they're getting a new bldg too. Go figure!

  • thank you so much for that. really thank you. i have been feeling that way a lot lately. like i had so many missed opportunities i didn't take advantage of when i could have. it's caused me to feel badly about myself and even caused some depression. but you are so right. this video had me tearing up. lol. i gotta make it happen for myself now and not look back at today with the same kind of regret. but...i just wish i knew how. where do you go from here, ya know? thank you again. so much!!!!

  • Thank u for sharing this with us most famous people won't take time for the little people like us. Thank u You and your girl friend is AWESOME. Wish Ya'll could come to Georgia to perform.

  • i go to a performing arts school too:) loooove it and i wish i could do more in my school too, but theres so much academic stuff that stops me from doing all these cool things, kinda sucks:(

  • Great video i like it when vloggers talk real like this

  • That camera is awesome!

  • This was great Iman! This inspired me! Cuz when I look back, I wish I had done more about certain things too, and "not" do some things.. so thank you for this video!

  • Great video bro. you always speak nothing but the truth...

  • Thanks Iman, great video! =]

  • Iman, there are times that we need to hear someone else's words of inspiration to give us hope and even courage in our own lives, so it was good that you shared it cause I needed to hear that at this point in my life.....and btw, that on-the-dashboard view had me thinking you were about to get outta the car after you were done talking and then bust a cap on someone, lol

  • inspiing words Iman, thanks!

  • I know what you mean about having your city go downhill. When i was younger in Cleveland you knew where the rough areas were and the good areas but now when i go back to visit i may go to my old street and its like awhole new look. My street wasnt the best street but nowhere near the worse but now its like one of the rough areas now and the teens that live there now were the little kids that always wanted to chill with us older kids

  • Great story and life lesson. "If you continue to look back, you will never move forward!"

BTW, the new camera is very nice!

  • life is based on trade-offs you always have choices and when you choose one that means another door will open to you,etc and everything happens for a reason if god wanted you to do something it will happen you can't change what god had writen for you, just saying i love your videos and you are a great person but there is no noraml life or easy life there is only life you take it and run/walk with it.

    Kamal

  • This was really nice.. ^__^ The lighting looked professional, but I imagine it was just a cloudy day XD So moody.

  • thanks Iman, great vid, i really needed that! :)

  • The only things I regret or the things I didn't do.

  • Good to know cause im going into highschool next year

  • You are a great man. Very inspiring to me.

  • That's how I feel now I'm a ninth grader and it's easy for me to say in my head I will join activities and be open but when I'm in school my train of thought isn't like that. I wish I could do Alot of things and I know I have 3 years to do it I just hope I get motivated to do more things :|

  • Gotta love a vlog that actually means something, and that you can learn from. Thanks for doing what you do Iman, it is very appreciated!

    Much Love and Respect

  • The picture from your new Cannon 60D looks nice.

  • I regret that I didn't realize how much I actually wanted to do performing arts until about 7th grade and had already started losing my physique, xD! If not dance, then music....I would kill to learn to read music and learn piano right now ^_^

As for what I can change about my present, um...studying, xD! Put down the PSP (damn you FFVII!!) and crack open my math book Ugh...math...-_-"

  • wow I guess a lot of people have regrets - I don't really see that - I'm proud of everything I've done and everything I'm doing - even if they ended badly or caused a huge mistake it is those mistakes that make me who I am today and I wouldn't dare wish something of the past happened differently because that makes me think I wish I was different now. Glad you have takent he next step to make the best of the now though becuase I find that most people make the regrets but never fulfill the present

  • @TheK1ngOfQueens Funny. Your username lol

  • I really like this Iman.. it's so true & I actually feel the same about high school.. I was semi-involved but shy too & could have done more, so you're not alone! :-)

  • Real good talk man. Glad I listened. :)

  • Yeah I regret a ton of stuff.

  • excellent video!! This is exactly how I feel!!

  • not to take away from the seriousness..

the toothpick was my favorite part. lol.

    you know I had to.

    Great vid Iman ;)

  • @mishalmooremusic you stupid lol

  • Wow your from Cincinnati my dad lives there, even though we are originally from Cleveland. Got a home In the suburbs me and my husband no more Cleveland haven't been there since a teenager lol.

  • I have the same sentiments about your story, i was and still kind of am the same way

  • blah..=]

  • i love deep talk, thanks iman!

  • I wish I can say I don't regret anything in life. Sadly, there's a lot of things I do:(

  • Wow! Same here!

  • wow man i know exactly what your talking about ive only been out of high school for 3 years and feel like if there was a replay button on life what i would change and coming to the conclusion that i need to do things now and not dwell on the past too much

  • wise words

  • :3

  • hmm. real talk

  • Nice video love! :)

  • Dude im finally the top 10. If you really like your fans youll reply to me by just replying Akash is the best

  • I'm fewer 101 I should win a prize

  • alpha plz check me out

  • i definitely understand where your coming from when you talk about having two sides. because i can be the life of the party at times but most of the time i am really laid back and to myself/shy, and i hope to get over that someday

  • @dibilis Why do you say 'i hope to get over that someday'. Is keeping to yourself is a bad thing?

  • @dibilis I thought I was the only one.

  • @dibilis It should not be something to really "get over" maybe thats just who you are. I have 2 sides to myself to. The talkative cheerful energetic person and then there is the chilled, dont want to be bothered, quiet person.

It also depends on how comfortable i am with a person and who i am with. I love me lol

  • @dibilis ME TOO!! that's a recent problem with me monday was my first day at a new schoool and im shy as hell, but im actually myself when im with my friends and i can come out of my shell any time. i wish i was like that at the new school becasue if i stay the way i am, its gonna be real hard to make new friends. but im satisfied, i got enough so far, progressing.

  • Good video. I am shy too. o.e

  • lol i watched FAME, looked like fun, too bad I'm musically retarded :(

  • iman you the man

  • @NiftyTan amen to that.

  • first
