Quite a few GM products are made in Mexico. I own a HHR and it says," Made in Mexico" on the driver's side door pillar. Any," American" car that has the VIN that begins with the number 3, was made in Mexico. That also includes Chrysler and Ford products as well!!!!!!!!! Next time you look at new cars, check this out!!!!!!! Finally, Quite a few are made in Canada Too!!! Their VIN's begin with the numbers 2 or 4 depending on manufacture. hope that clears things up!!!!!

However, the fact remains: 3/5 of the Silverados, Chevy's current full sized pickup, are still American made. Additionally, all Tahoes, Blazers & Expresses, 2/3 of the Suburbans, and most Colorados are built in the USA.

Comparing the old Tundra to the new one is like comparing the F-Super Duty to the Ranger. Two completely different trucks in size and performance. Reliabily has nothing to do with it. Toyota maybe good at building reliable cars, but they don't know much about the full-size truck market. And while Toyota prides themselves about being green with the Prius getting 50+ mpg, the Tundra and Sequoia get a crappy 18 mpg, on the highway no less.

BTW, the new Tundra got 4 out of 5 stars in frontal crash tests by NHTSA while F-150 and Silverado recieved 5. And the old Tundra isn't the most reliable. The 2005 model Tundra has had 5 recalls, and that's not counting the service bulletins.
