The science is a bit off, and there are some campy lines, but all in all it's pretty well written. Comparing it to some other scifi of the period these characters each seem to be handling and knowing their jobs and working as a team. As SciFi writing goes, its definitely a step up from what was writen for Lost in Space.
Oh MAN you gotta upload the rest of this, I haven't seen it since I was 8 (I'm 32) and, eventhough it's shit, back then I was young and impressionable and it stayed with me... I can't believe anyone else ever saw it tbh!
The old Lost in Space fans should recognize this: notice the scene in this movie where the communications satellite relaying the "Happy New Years message"? It's the same satellite used as a prop in about once or two different episodes in the old Lost in Space series.
Ah, the good ol' days of charming, pseduo-science SciFi movies! This was a great but little-known B Sci Fi movie not shown now. This video doesn't show the scenes on Mars: a stormy "yellow brick road" that leads to aliens in large testube- like containers, who communicate via telepathy, an underground cave expedition, and some considerable babble about "time." In the end, the aliens telpathically put this crew back into orbit away from Mars, as if it all never happened. Very cool!
I'm friends with Eve Bernhardt's daughter. We became friends over this film, even though neither of us is crazy about it and I like it better than she did.
This film can be a low budget production, but its set design isn´t bad at all [with other words: that pseudo-electronic parafernalia has charm on its own right], and Carradine is always a reason to take a look. I never saw this film before, so thank you very much for sharing with us [I would enjoy a lot to see it entirely].
@EduarquiRJ - HI I worked for David L Hewiit for awhile in the 90's. He was first an illusionist an then went into optical effects after directing some of those b movies.
He was a pioneer in many areas and the VFX Oscar-winning Skotak Brothers (Aliens, T2,Titanic) were fans of his! Check out the work he did on Time Travelers,
he used glass christmas ornaments for scale debris in the rocket explosions!
I love these old sci fi movies... so classic :) lol

@dionaea2008 I've met Eve Bernhardt's daughter. Roger Gentry was horribly lewd to her, from what I'm told.

I have this movie somewhere on VHS. Although it's retitled "Horrors of The Red Planet." Such a terrible movie.
