  • Well I have had my Bunn for 21 years with no repairs

  • Two Tools Counting you

  • question is is why would you want to buy a bunn when there is so many other better machines on the market bunn has so many problems i bought a bunn and right out of the box it started to leak all over the counter i took it back and bought a braun and it works like a dream

  • @stonieburk

Probably because a Bunn actually brews a good pot of coffee.

Maybe the one Bunn you bought was defective.

I can understand using a different brand if a replacement Bunn you'd get in exchange did the same thing, but you never gave them another chance so, really, how would you know?

However, a Bunn that will most likely never be defective would be an actual commercial unit, such as the A10. Unfortunately, you will pay for this quality; the A-10 retails for about $240.

Yes, reference a five year old recall for a model that's not been in the market since 2004.

    Go troll somewhere else.

  • troll i have been working at bunnomatic for 16 years i think i know what i am talking about they do not have a qa worth bragging about thats why there are so many problems know your facts troll boy

  • I doubt your claim and credentials.

And, you need a refresher of what a troll is.

"A troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room or blog, with the primary intent of provoking other users into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion."

  • As for facts, it's very easy to claim them.

But, it's another thing entirely to PROVE THEM.

You see, your "facts" are not so unless you have EVIDENCE that proves them so.

And, mind you, this was not a topic of QA, but of reasonable action.

You bought a coffee maker that broke, but you didn't give them another chance to confirm whether or not the product was worth it. Ergo, your actions and thoughts are quite unreasonable.

  • Furthermore, if you claim to work for Bunn and have intimate knowledge of their operations, including their QA, then why did you bother to buy one in the first place if you had intimate knowledge of bad quality?

Your claims just don't hold up to scrutiny.

  • The fact that you deleted a comment that fits with what only a troll would say seems to cement my assertion that you're here to just criticize without basis.

Go and enjoy your coffee from your Braun appliance; a company who has built their reputation on making some of the world's finest electric razors.

  • And, just for posterity, here is your post which you have deleted:

"hey watcher if one is defective than millions are oh and what about the recall how many junkomatics got recalled hum i wonder thank you" - stonieburk

  • @stonieburk

Furthermore, I've spoken with a person who has a video of a Bunn coffeemaker that went up in flames (which was part of the recall).

He told me how Bunn handled it: they shipped him a replacement quickly and at no charge.

Seems like they care enough to earn my business.

  • So how do you like your Bunn? I bought one last week. It's odd how the grounds go up the sides of the filter inside the basket. Is it supposed to do that?

  • Yes.

The brewing basket gets filled with water; the jets of water from the spray head and the grounds suspension in the water is part of what maintains the necessary turbulence to extract from the grounds. Most auto drip coffee makers only drip the water a little at a time, part of why they don't brew as well.

It's also why the use of filters specifically designed for Bunn coffee makers are recommended to keep the water and grounds from spilling over the filter and getting into the carafe.

  • However, I would recommend ordering from Bunn-O-Matic their flow restrictor spray head. This will slow the flow of water going into the brew basket, which will increase the brew time, but may result in a stronger brew.

You can order by calling their toll-free customer service number. The flow restrictor spray head is available completely free of charge.

  • haha your so cool! :D:D
