I think the inside of that room is just too bright even for a sky ceiling there lacks shadowing in the room from contrast.

One of my favorite unused scenes is from Han and Leia in that room:

I did notice that brightness changes in some shots during Vader's trap.

And what causing this blue haze all around the place? Is it LFL color screw aftereffect, or is it state of movie itself?

I never noticed how many times Vader changes hands until now... he deflects with his right, uses the force to grab Han's gun with his left and catches with his right.
