after the next update (coming out in march but still called february update for some reason) all snipers will be equal on damage, only difference is that m98 has smallest mag and shoots 1 shot every 1.3s but least bullet drop

m40 and l96 shoot 1 every 1.1s l96 has slightly more bulletdrop and m40 has most bullet drop of all snipers m98 has high reload idk exactly, l96 has a shorter normal reload, but a longer empty reload than the m40. next dlc is rumored (all american) so there might be m82 :D

i got 2 service stars in the m98B and its a strong sniper cause it kills when you shoot just under his head. But the L96 is so much better cause the bullet fly's longer before hitting the ground. :)

@legendkiller2906 You mean BTK? You have to complete an "assignment" before you can unlock each gun. For the FAMAS, it was something like 10 heals and 10 revives. They do get a bit harder/longer to finish after that though.

That said I find that the 8x and 12x scopes on the L96 seem to zoom in less than the same scopes on the other bolt actions. I like this one and the M98B the most (I find the M40A5 and the SV98 harder to get headshots with because of the bullet drop).

M98B has a faster Muzzle velocity due to it using the bigger .338 Lapua where as the L96 uses .308 or 7.62mm. The M98B packs a bigger punch due to that but the L96 has 10 round mag where as the M98B has 5 due to the bigger rounds. Personal preference is the M98B for long range (800m+) but under that distance, the L96 does a real good job.

Then you 50 headshots, 50 Spot Assists, and 5 knife takedowns to unlock the L96 sniper rifle

pwn, you should have mentioned bullet speed in your commentary. It's the most important difference between the L96, SV98 and M40. The L96 has the highest bullet speed, and it's my gun of choice between the 3. The M98B has a much higher bullet velocity and damage than all of them, but of course it is balanced by it's smaller magazine size.
