Is the PlayStation version more difficult than this, by chance? I seem to remember that dragon boss being much more difficult than you made it look.
I really like this remake, for the record. As I mentioned before, I'm not a fan of SCIV. This one's aged much better, though, and it kinda takes the original game back to its roots. The fleaman trap is rough, though. I would've expected something like that from Haunted Castle, but not this one. XD
The Playstation version has this original version and an arranged mode which is easier. The arranged version also has redone sprites of Simon and Dracula, plus a few other tweaks(soundtrack maybe).

Best song of this game is the version of simon's theme that has the harmony of voices at the beginning.

This game and also Symphony of the night is on the PSN store in America.
And for me this is one of the few Castlevania games I haven't beaten yet cuz its so wretchedly difficult.

Simon looks like a woman, to be honest, but the rest of the game looks AMAZING. I will DEFINITELY check this out.
