If you were old enough to work in a match factory then as of now you would be over 100 years old. Do some research before you start making up stories.

The Duke and Maureen enjoyed such a chemistry onscreen and a deep love (friendship) coupled with respect off screen that all the roles/characters that they played together were so authentic.

Even now, I watch the Quiet Man yearly as part of a tradition. It is a rare thing to find movies that transcend time and remain fresh, realistic and so enjoyable.

I certainly do, I see a lot of Maureen in Kate Winslet and I think that if they were ever to remake a movie of Maureen's (other than the ones they've already done) they should use her. That being said, I don't like remakes about 90% of the time and I think if they ever remake The Quiet Man that I'd be very upset.

I agree, though I have to honest say that i really don't see the resemblance between Kate Winslet and Maureen... I mean it wouldn't be the worse choice ever I can stand it but i really can't see her in Maureen's shoes.. and I agree about The Quiet man I would be beyond upset haha.

and if  Maureen was in titanic the drawing scene would have been rewritten because Maureen would not do nudity lol

I know O'Hara has said there was never an affair, but I find it hard to believe Wayne and O'Hara were never 'involved'. Their chemistry together jumped off the screen.

I love your video!! It brings tear's to my eyes to watch all those clips especially The Quite Man.But then again he never made a bad movie. Next to the Dallas Cowboys the Duke was my husbands favorite. I remember seeing Maureen in Congress ( I think she also had tears in her eyes) pleading with them to strike a gold medal coin for the Duke as she always called him. Which they did in 1979 I still have my husbands belt buckle he bought with the coin in it, the seal has never been broken.

This is a great video. I tried to upload my montage on Duke and Maureen's chemistry which I made 10 years ago. My background is Roberta Flack's "The First Time Ever I Saw your Face" - Someone else used the same theme for a slide show on YouTube. It's very nice.

When I finally got my video file converted - You Tube accepted the video but rejected the soundtrack because of copyright issues. I don't get it! Surely your background is copyright and they allow it. Any idea why?

no, some are from McClintock!, and there is a picture from Wings of Eagles. These are all teh clips I could muster up, my dvd converter didn't work for Wings Of Eagles or Big Jake.
