Incase you clowns dont notice, this is not a competition, it simply Vanilla ice vs the Em beat. Vanilla Ice opened up the door for Em and many other rappers, give the man respect and stop saying the man is not better than Em. Picture em rapping in the 80s environment and see how long he would have lasted, rap was not that accepted in those days compared to now. Ice scared a lot of ppl when he came on the scence. No one believed whites could rap at that time.

This is a stupid comparison. The majority of people commenting here probably weren't even alive when Vanilla Ice was popular, so of course you prefer eminem. Eminem may have a better legacy, but Ice was a trailblazer. Both good in certain aspects.

Eminem kills this beat and his lyrics and writing ability puts vanilla ice down for the count son. Vanilla Ice said he paved the way for eminem. No one said hes the next vanilla ice. hes the next white rapper to make some noise in the industrty,,, but then that noise turned to multi platinum records and a top spot on the charts of the best rappers of all time.

You know whats funny is people never stopped to realize that whats the difference between Vanilla Ice and Eminem nothing really if you really stop and think about it. Everyone ragged on Vanilla for going pop. Well what the hell is Eminem his hit songs were all played on top 40 radio pop stations constantly and MTV in regluar rotation. Eminem played MTV music awards and was on tlak shows just like Vanilla was back in the day. It just became a trend to hate Vanilla over the years.
