By which standard .270 Winchester is too much gun for roe? I shoot my usual roe deer as a side product of "moose" hunt and I use everything between .30-06 and .375. Both work just fine. I've also shot roe with bow and arrow, and with .222 Rem. Everything is egough gun but I wouldn't by a special "roe deer rifle" if I would have any all-around rifle in 6,5 - 8 mm caliber.
