If you start your research from bottom-top, this is make your foundation stronger. I would suggest you start with authentic books of aqeedah like Tahawi's and then move on to the Qur'an and its tafaseer, but more importantly, you will need the Arabic language. May Allah SWT guide you in whatever you decide to do.
