Naturally, all famous opera singers had to start early so that the art can become a second nature. But there is a discpline process that he has to go through by which this boy has missed a regular development of his childhood. That is a choice; hopefully, it was his own! Yes, he seems to have extreme talent.

first of all, this is an opera, which means it has plot, characters and actions. the reason why he isn't happy because the character is escaping from been killed by the king. This is a part of ACTING!

second, every culture has its own music and been changing over time. For ppl 2 hundred years ago, all ass kickin music you hear today would all be like "shit in a swimming pool".

in short, it's fine you dont like it. but please be civilized.
