The movie isn't half as bad as people say (though not near the originals). These edits don't fix anything, and if anything make it worse. The prequels are still better than any expanded universe. And at least they introduced us to Qui-gon and Maul, two of the sagas best characters (the latter should have survived until episode 3 though).
I honestly don't get the point of this. All this edit proves is that the most annoying, silly stuff about the film is inadvertedly a part of it because once you try to edit it out, it'll look like someone ripped chunks out of it.
Look at the end - no matter how silly one might find Obi-Wan's speech there, Jar Jar just changing his mind after a second feels even more unnatural.
And in the end, Jar Jar is STILL there with his annoying voice. The Jedi STILL go down there without any plan...
.... or justification to follow Jar Jar into the underwater city, just because they hear there's a city.
And the worst thing, you can't actually edit that out because this whole turd segment is part of the plot!!
... Oh wait, actually you can. Make them run into Jar Jar in the forest, and then cut to Theed. Or try to somehow leave him out of the frame there so you don't have to leave him in there before.

It'll still show, though.
