The movie is excellent (I have the special 2 disc tin box collecters edition) to be honest I liked the original english dub but I digress the graphic novel of Akira goes so much deaper and characters that are merely stage dressing in the movie have deep fleshed out backrounds in the graphic novel either way Akira is an awesome story. And awesome vid
