Individual rights. A model is still a model no matter what kind they are. All books of of intellect or not should be treated according and fairly with equal standing. We call that the 1st-amendments in the US. HKese should just suck it up and understand the demand and it's still an art form no matter how tasteless it is. And guess what people of all professions, prostitution is oldest profession industry around, without them none of your parents' would know how to conceived all you dumb fucks.

Model agency hire them because they can't afford an ordinary model and knowing that because they get slated by the media and the public they get quick attention, therefore the client will come back for more

To be honest, I can't see any difference between a "pseudo" model and any ordinary model

I don't think the model got the right to sell their product simply because it is printed on books. A "book" is just a form of medium after all....it can branch out into a lot of very different contents. There are picture books, literature books, history books, math book, comic books, pornography, magazine, Chinese books, English books, French books... AND EVEN PHONE BOOK!!!! These books are entertainment-oriented, which does not fit into academical/ educational atmosphere of the book fair.

the book fair was meant to promote educational books. the fact that the book fair is being more commercialized to benefit the companies rather than the consumers should be brought into attention.

fyi, teenagers are prone to finding lame reasons to protest against just about anything when it becomes a popular discussion topic, given that a group has started the cause and propaganda. it's proven that it was just as easy to have kids unknowingly ban water just as any other environemental pollutants if u partially provide information. personally i dont think there is anything wrong with selling these books, except it will piss some people off (well, everything does).

How are those books different from 50% of the fashion or HK 'gossip' magazines you see in 7-11??!!....people have the right to choose what they want to see and it's still a 'book'. I don't think those gossip magazines have a place in a book fair either, if they are there at all. Hong Kong already has a problem educating cultural interest. I think the book fair should focus on books with a little more intelligent, cultural content.
