  • @huaijiudvd99 Hello mr. Huaijiudvd99 , ni hao ma? Your replies are very helpful . I

  • @huaijiudvd99

    2) May I ask why you require buyers to send you a picture of their ID card? That is a huge privacy risk so I understand why mephim2 didn't oblige. Personal identity theft is a huge problem, especially for Americans. I only surrender such sensitive info to the financial institutions or DMV to get my driver's license. I can't imagine sending you a copy of my ID even if you were to give the series to me for free.

  • @contrassbylight

The ID requirement is merely for our copyright protection. Very much like when you show your ID to register for a library card. We would certainly not appreciate if someone bought our series and added Vietnamese dubbing or subtitles, and then made money selling those. We put a lot of effort into making our picture quality great. Therefore, if you wish to purchase the copyright from us to start your dubbing project, that's OK.

  • @contrassbylight

But I need to make sure you or anyone else who buys it is not from VIV and will not use our high quality version to gain profit after they added Vietnamese language. Our e-mail is on the front page of our channel if you wish to talk privately.

  • @huaijiudvd99

    1) I know for a fact Vietnam International Video has the VHS copy, but whether or not that is the master copy is doubtful, since it is old and the picture is jittery. What format did the film companies used to film these series? VHS? I spent about $300 to buy one set of the VHS from VIV but lost those earlier this year, and now I have bought the DVDs from them as well.

  • @mephim2

I am sorry for taking this long to notice your post. You said you saw someone on another forum who claimed to have purchased the VHS tapes from Vietnam International Video and was planning to transfer it onto DVD. I made that post. I lost those VHS tapes when my mom & sis threw it away by mistake. The copy is VIV is ripped from VHS and because they didn't use a VCR with a TBC, the picture is jittery. I plan to mux their Viet audio w/ a DVD version from Taiwan. IDK if it will work.

  • @contrassbylight

I've been reading the comments in this thread and just want to tell everyone not to fall for the scam.

1.) If Vietnamese Video really did have this series, why did they not release earlier? Why did they wait until a few months after we release the Taiwan version? Are they stealing our version and hiring Vietnamese voice actors to dub the series themselves? Mephim2 had previously tried to buy this series from me. I asked for a copy of his ID and he declined to show it.

  • @contrassbylight

2.) I love the Vietnamese community. If you guys don't wish to waste time, you can find someone who is bilingual in Viet and Mandarin to translate and subtitle this series. Or if you wish to purchase the original master tape from us, that is OK too. But I must warn you, the original tape is very old and worn out. We broke 5 very expensive tape decks with TBC ($1000 each) just trying to play some of the sticky tape. The old oily tape is too heavy for most players. G' luck

  • We just need better quality.

  • wow , finally. they actually have it. Those fobs finally wised up, its about time ,this version is on dvd. Thanks mephim2 .

  • The movie cost $34, plus $6 shipping. There are a total of 17DVDs. I've watched #5 so far, and there are no missing parts yet. The quality is better than what I had expected, considering it was probably transfer from VHS to DVD. For sure it is much clearer than what I had to watch when I was younger. In my opinion, it is worth the money!

  • @mephim2 YAY!!!! I will have to order it for my mother. By the way, what is the name of the movie called in Vietnamese? And can you also give me Christine's mailing address? Thanks.

  • @iconicbow

I think the movie in Vietnamese is called " Co Gai Do Long". Make sure Christine knows that it's the 1984 Taiwanese Version starring Luu Duc Khai .

Christine's mailing address is : VNIV (Vietnam International Video), 380 North 1st St., San Jose, CA. 95112-4002. Good luck!

  • @mephim2 That's weird because I looked it up and it is called Y Thien Do Long Ky 1984 Taiwanese version with the main actor. Darn it I hope its the same movie because Christine received my payment today and I mentioned it with a different name.I should have my mom calls Christine to clarify the movie, otherwise she'll be upset with me if the movie send to her is wrong. My mom, she loves the movie and I'm glad Christine has it. Thanks for informing.

  • @color124ever

I think the name " Y Thien Do Long Ky " and "Co Gai Do Long" has been used interchangeably . The labels on the DVDs that I have received says "Co Gai Do Long". I have heard other people refer to the movie using both titles. I don't understand the difference, but the important thing is that Christine knows that the movie is the 1984 Taiwanese version with the main actor Luu Duc Khai . Don't worry, I think your mom will get the right movie/version.

  • Can you tell me the price?

  • Comment removed

  • I justed contacted Christine at Vietnam International (408)288-9600, she said that finally has the movie available to order!

  • @mephim2

Are you sure my brethren? If it is, I will go down there this weekend!

  • @vietdo916

I thought it was too good to be true until I finally received the movie in the mail yesterday and started watching it last night! Yes, it is the version we have been looking for all this time!

  • @mephim2

Did you order via mail or made a special trip to San Jose?

  • @mephim2

    Any missing parts?

  • Comment removed

  • Dude can have mine, no big deal! I just want to watch it man!

  • Hi, our email is huaijiudvd at ya hoo

For the many attempts by others to pirate our series (like the one below), we will be requiring a copy of each buyer's driver's license before purchases can be made.

We will not sell to any unauthorized buyers, regardless of price.

We only have the Mandarin Chinese version. Those asking for the Vietnam International version may continue to ask them to distribute it -- best of luck!

    Huaijiudvd99

  • @huaijiudvd99 Does your version have English subtitles by any chance? I would be jumping for joy if it did!

  • I am trying to contact this chinesedude - think hes taiwanese, for this movie but nothing yet, it will be in the original taiwanese version, that is the best i can do for now.

How and where you find out the distrubution dubbing company in taiwan. You probably have to know some taiwanese - Ni shou shenme? and the phone number and mailing address.

  • Hi Palazzo!

I'm trying to contact ,I think, the same person/store you are. Huaijiudvd99 said that we should go on the Taiwan Ruten Auction Site to purchase the movie. I went on there and was confused, and totally lost about what I should do. I sent them an email asking for details for purchasing from outside of Taiwan.

  • Hey everyone!

I was searching on the internet under the title "Y Thien Do Long Ky 1984 " and found a link to torrent pump to download the movie. I don't know if it is legit or not. Maybe they got mixed up with the 1986 version? My computer has been really messed up lately. Could someone check? I 'm willing to help with any expenses. Thanks!

  • Not me dude. I am playing Starcraft 2 on my computer. Too good of a deal to pass up!

  • I'm glad somebody is having fun ! Anyway, regardless, I will eventually find a way to figure out if it is the real 1984 version. I haven't given up, I will keep on trying all the options.

  • Same here, my mom has been in Vietnam for about 1 month now, and no luck yet. I will try to ask my other relatives who lives over there to try to help also. I'm also still trying to figure out how I could get the movie from Taiwan . Maybe we could try to contact a movie distribution/dubbing company in Taiwan? Anyway, please keep trying and don't give up!

  • Nothing my Brethren!

    Enjoy Tet!

  • Folks,

I haven't given up on the matter just get. One of my friends is Taiwanese, her Dad is coming to California. I sent her the our series URL. Below is her message!

Hey Bruce, I sent this over to my dad so he could try to find it. He'll try his best, but no promises.

  • Thanks Vietdo for the news. I really needed some positive news at this time. I'm still waiting for news from my mom and my brother in Vietnam. They said they will try to contact me if they have any luck finding the movie over there. I think eventually we'll get it somehow! Thanks for not giving up!

  • If I ever get it, we are all going to get it. I will upload via megaupload. Free of charge for all of us.

When I was a kid, it was the 2nd most watched. #1 being Anh Hung Xa Dieu solely for Em Dung!

  • good luck hope you find it.

how much it cost to make me a copy of the entire series on dvd?

  • Palazzo777

If I'm fortunate to find the movie, I will definitely make a copy of the entire series FREE for you and several others in here who have tried to help me find the movie such as Vietdo and Iconicbow. But If you guys ever find the movie, I will definitely help with the cost to get the movie and to make the copies.

Out of all the movies , why do I have to like the movie that is the hardest to find ??!!

  • wow vietdo & mephim2 - u guys really going to find this movie huh? Hope its a good copy - dvd quality. If u transfer to dvd+r Please use dual layer - longer recording time and clearer picture quality in the Xp or Sp mode.

  • The best to do is go to taiwan to buy it.

  • Palazzo777

I thought the movie was never officially released on DVD in any language? If it is, I don't even mind even getting it in chinese , even though I will not understand one single word! It may not be that difficult to go to Taiwan since Taiwan is one of stops (connecting flights) to Vietnam? Thanks for the suggestion. Let me figure out some options ....

  • I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news. I hate being the messenger of death. VIV (Christine) called me today. She told me, they cannot find the movie.

Sorry if I ruined your weekend. I need a drink my brethren!

  • Vietdo

Thanks for keeping us posted. I have already given up on Vietnam International a while back anyway. The only thing that I will be surprise to hear from Christine now is that they found the Master. For her to tell you that she cannot find the movie is not a surprise at all. At least you got a call from Christine, unlike some of us!

  • From June through December 2006, I lived in Vietnam. I asked for this series but to no avail. All they have is that stupid Y Thien Do Long Ky series and Co Gai Do Long starring Tony Yeung.

  • Which areas or cities did you try to ask for the series, so I can tell my mom not to waste her time in those areas.

Anyway, there's this person on this particular forum that posted that he had bought the VHS copy of the series from Vietnam International and was thinking about converting to DVD format. I tried to contact him but I was told that I don't have enough # of posts to directly email him. Everyone in that forum writes Vietnamese, and I can't barely write Vietnamese to do it!

  • That was 3 years ago. You can give it a try now. I search all the main stores in Saigon, Hanoi, Hue, Phan Thiet, Nha Trang, Hoi An, Da Nang, Mui Ne, Dalat, and so on. Just the stores you see at the big market and plazas. I don't know about the little ones. Our best bet is the ones are the little ones.

If you can't write Vietnamese, write it in English and have Google Translate it.

  • Vietdo, I took your advice to have Google translate this to Vietnamese "I am looking for the movie ' Heaven Sword Dragon Sabre' 1984 Taiwanese version starring Luu Duc Khai." This is one of the translation (word for word)- "Tôi đang tìm kiếm phim 'Thiên đàng Gươm Kiếm lưỡi cong Rồng ' 1984 phiên bản Taiwanese dán sao Luu Duc Testify." LOL! Actually, it's still helpful, I can just pick and choose the words that I want to use. Thanks!

  • I will have my mom ask everywhere she goes in Vietnam for the movie, especially the smaller towns and stores.

  • Vietdo

Thanks for keeping us posted, even though it's not very positvive news. My mom is visiting Vietnam later this month, hopefully she will have some luck finding the movie there. If you have the money, you can almost get anything in Vietnam!

  • Nothing. I went looking for it. My people couldn't find it.

Christine is acting like a VC. The storage room is too big but I sincerely believe they are not even looking for it, well at least not even their best effort!

  • Palazzo 777

I guess you never heard back from Christine either, huh? I remember a while back you told us that Christine took down your information and will contact you with any news.

Anyway, even if we fly to Taiwan to get the movie like you have suggested, will they have it in DVD or in Vietnamese ? I don't think they ever officially released the movie on DVD, right?

  • Here are my suggestions. 1) U can email a2zphim video and ask if they have the movie. 2) U can go to YESASIA website to get this movie but it will be in chinese language though. 3) or u can get this movie in vietnam.

  • Any news, anyone? Vietdo? I have given up on Vietnam International. I receive a lead from this one Vietnamese forum, but the particular person have not contacted me yet. I will not give up trying!

  • keep dreaming. they will make you wait a long time. Have n't anyone here learned their lesson. Have you guys waited long enough? How much longer are you going to wait til its ready and available ? 2 yrs? 7 yrs? 10 years? 50years?

  • Now I know why she was so nice to you, and why she said to check with her next week--

3 COPIES?! That was the magic word. I think we all should call and tell her we want at least 3 copies! LOL!

  • How come Vietnam International is telling everyone something different? I was starting to give up on them, and now someone there said to check with them next week?! If I were you, Iconicbow, I would call next week (talk to the same person if you can) and see what they will say they. Maybe we should all call them next week also? It's not like we have many options here.

  • Yes, I think it would be a good idea that you should call and talk to Christine again. I think she was the one that I talked to last week. She sounds pretty nice on the phone. I told Christine that I need 3 copies of the movie for my grandmother and for my other relatives as well. So if you call in and request the same movie then maybe she'll put the time and effort getting it into the DVD.

  • @iconicbow

Please keep all of us posted on what Vietnam international tells you when you call them this week. I will try to call them this Friday also. Thank You!

  • Hey mephim2, yes, I will keep you posted when my mother calls and talk to Christine. The last time I spoke to Christine, she couldn't understand me much b/c I can't speak the language that well. But, I definitely will let you know since you & my mother both like the movie so much =) Cross our fingers so that Christine will say yes.

  • @iconicbow

LOL! Again, I'm happy to know that I have something in common with your mother and your grandmother !!?? I watched this serie when I was very young (don't remember everything) , but one thing I do know, it is still my favorite out of all the movies I have watched since then(and that's quite a list) . There's just something about this movie, or maybe a combination of everything that is very unique and memorable for me. Anyway, please keep all of us posted . Thank You!

  • Mephim2, sorry my mom called Christine and she said she can't locate the movie which I think its just her excuse for not looking into it. If you ever find the movie anywhere else, please let me know.

    Thanks

  • Iconicbow ,

Thanks for your help anyway . I 'm disappointed yet again, but somehow not surprise to find out Christine 's answer to your mom. I will not give up searching and will let you know when I do get it. I think if all of us continue to work together and search, we will eventually find it. We just need to get a decent VHS copy so we can convert to DVD format. Hopefully Vietdo916 will have some good news for us soon.

  • Comment removed

  • I checked around my area, I got nothing. It is out there folks. I know it is.

I will speak to my brother tomorrow. Have faith, we will get it.

I asked sellers on ebay, forums, and other Phim Bo websites and got nothing.

  • Sorry folks, I think Vietnam International Video is the only place here in the US that may have this old series. I don't anywhere else across America would have the movie. I spoke to the representative at VIV & she said they do the original copy somewhere in their storage. She said she'll try to find it and asked me to reach her back next week. I have no hope that she'll try to find it. If it wasn't for my grandmother, lol, I wouldn't bother.

  • Hi Iconicbow!

I'm glad to hear that your grandmother and I have something in common! LOL! Anyway, it doesn't hurt to call Vietnam International (ask for Christine). They supposely have the original master copy (for DVD distribution), but recently have told everyone who called that they have not found it. Anyway, call them to see what they say, at least it will give them an incentive to keep looking for the master copy. Regardless, we will get the movie somehow!

  • I called Vietnam International Friday and requested to talk to Christine. The girl placed me on hold, and later came back on the phone and said that Christine was busy and asked if I wanted to leave a message . I was reluctant at first, but I left a message anyway to ask Christine if I could buy her VHS copy or convert it into DVD format and sell me a copy from that. I still haven' t heard from Christine yet. I'm very disappointed. You're our last hope now VIETDO916! Thank You!

  • Hey, I have been looking to buy this series but couldn't find it anywhere. Glad you've mentioned Vietnam International Video may have it. Would they have it now if I call them to buy it?

  • My younger brother is working on it. However, it is not from Vietnam International Video. One of his friends has it, so we will see.

If I get it, we all get it. I will upload it to all of us. Screw Christine and Vietnam International Video!

  • Hey, can you please tell me where I can buy this movie? I have been looking to buy this movie for my grandmother but couldn't find it anywhere. so, please help me where I can buy this movie. I don't care how much it will cost. thanks.

  • I will never give up though. If Christine has the VHS copy and it's in good condition, I don't mind if she transfers it over to DVD format and sells me a copy. What do you think we should do now? I have tried to look for the movie on different sites and forums, and so far no luck either.

  • I talked to some dude, he can't find it either.

Christine designated his arse to find the master copy. Dude told me, I am sorry!

    I am sorry my brethren!

  • Yes, she has a copy on VHS! She is not parting with it though.

The copy that I saw, it is pretty nice. NO deleted scenes, all perfect. I have to seduce the MOFO now!

  • For a back-up plan, just in case Christine doesn't find the original master, we may have to consider obtaining a VHS copy and transfer it to DVD format. Do you think she still has any VHS copy left in the store? The VHS copy that you have seen, it must have been quite a while back when the owner purchased the copy. I don't think any store sells VHS anymore.

  • Christine was pretty confident, 80 %.

It is her favorite series too.

I am calling on 10/30. I will go down there if I have to. Just 10 days and we will know the answer!

I am certain she has the master. Christine sold a copy but via VHS though. I saw the VHS copy, I can confirm it. The owner is refusing to let me borrow it.

I can transfer VHS to DVD and upload it here.

  • How confident did Christine seem (when you talked to her) whether they will find the master copy or not? So she's sure she has the master, but it's a matter of finding it?

  • The series is a very rare series.

  • The actually building is quite big. TWO Floors.

Have faith, my brethren! We will get it!

  • Sorry for being pessimistic. I guess if we have waited this long, we can wait a couple of more weeks and see. Anyway, if we keep calling to show them how many people are interested in the movie, they will put it as their priority to find the master copy.

  • Let's hope I'm wrong, but if they haven't found it by now, what are the chances of them finding it at all? How big is storage area anyway?

  • One of my friends stopped by Vietnam International Video. He had a little chat with Christine. Same information, they have to find the master copy. Still looking for it.

This series is Christine favorite series too.

Give it some time, hopefully we might get it before Thanksgiving!

  • LOL! Are you sure she didn't recognize your voice? After all, she's probably familiar with all of our voices. I have been getting all the people that I know to call. Good to hear that she hasn't changed her mind. Please keep calling! Thank You!

  • I used my Vietnamese!

    My Daddy is Bac.

    Mommy is Hue.

Girl is Nam. I can use all three.

  • I talked to Christine yesterday IN PERSON! She is still looking for it. I fabricated a story, a friend last dying wish is to see this movie! Creative thinking!

They are STILL looking for the master copy.

Please give them some time, at least a good 2 weeks.

My brethren, our phone calls have made a difference. Keep calling. She is very impressed by the phone calls. I saw the excitement in her eyes. She knows she has a potential goldmine.

If I get it, we all get it.

  • Actually I don't mind getting a copy on VHS if I can't get it on DVD. I just want the movie! Of course, the quality of the movie on VHS has to be decent or else I will be blind by the time I get through watching the movie! At this point, I'm also open to anything! Please keep me posted with any news, and I will do the same also. Thanks!

  • At this point, I am open to ANY suggestions!

I am beginning to believe, we have to do this ourselves!

I will make a special run this weekend but I am not sure if I have to time to drop by. I will keep ya posted.

If I have to, I will ask for a copy on VHS!

  • I think we should get everyone we know to call again, and specifically ask for Christine. I think if they get enough calls, they will have to deal with the issue. If we sent them emails, they may just delete and not bother reading them. I just want the company to tell me if they have change their mind about helping us because it may not be "profitable" , or is it because they couldn't find the master copy. I just don't like to be kept in the dark and wondering what's going on. Any suggestions?

  • Christine is giving us a wild goose chase!

Give me her email address. I will email her everyday, every hour on the hour.

I was down there but she was not in. I had to someone else. He was telling me how terrible this version is and how the news ones are much better. I told him it is not his place and I didn't want to hear his opinions.

    Someone write an online petition!

  • Vietdo916

Any news from Vietnam International Video? I tried e-mailing again recently but have not heard from them. I think either they have changed their minds or they could not find the original master copy. I really don't know what else to do.

  • Nothing! Du Ma! I am going there is Monday, I will keep you guys posted!

I am going to Vietnam International Video and I want to speak with the head honcho in charge!

  • Has anyone contacted or heard from Vietnam International Video lately ? I tried to e-mail them Friday but haven't receive any response yet. Should we start calling them again?

  • Liars!

  • I haven't heard from Christine since last week. She said she was going to contact me when she finds the master copy . I don't know if I should bother her anymore. I started calling and e-mailing different companies this weekend, so far no luck. I strongly feel that we will eventually get it somewhere, somehow. "If there's a will, there 's a way!" I will not give up until I finally get the DVDs in my hands.

  • What is the latest my brethren?

  • The weekend is coming around, I think if we don't hear anything from Christine soon, we should try to contact her Friday and ask her what are the chances of her finding the master copy (or if she has even started looking yet)

  • It would be nice to get a copy from any of the individual who has the master copy. I don't mind paying for it.

  • Vietdo916

Hey, I 'm curious how you found out that Vietnam International had the master copy to the series. Do you think there is anyone else that has the master copy ? We may need a backup plan just in case .

  • I was in San Jose looking for a movie, Co Kiem An Cuu Luc. I asked them about our movie, I was told they have it. I have been harass them since. Over time, I asked friends to call, forums, and chat-room. Some people have the master copy. One of my friends in Fairfax, VA HAVE it. She is not parting with it. The backup plan is -- put whatever pieces that we have and make it ourselves. I have some parts of the movie not all of it though!

  • I don't know how much longer I can stand the stress from the wait and anticipation!

  • Harass Christine, dude. Someone has to be the whipping boy of your aggression, mind well as be Christine. You harass her enough, we will get it!

  • When it is out, I will drive down to San Jose. Stay at my younger sister house and go through the whole series. To ensure no deleted scenes and everything is on track. I want to see the ending before I buy!

  • Vietnam International Video is giving us a wild goose chase! Christine said, she will contact me too and this was 2 weeks ago.

  • I just talked to Christine, she said that the person she sent to find the master copy to the storage thought that they had found it, but Christine didn't realize it was the wrong version until recently. She is SURE that they do have the master copy to the 1984 version, and will contact me as soon as they find it ( I feel like I'm repeating myself from a couple days ago). Anyway, she says that it would only take less than a day to have the DVDs ready once the master copy is found.

  • What ??!!! I was specifically told that she had found the 1984 version and was working on it. I was waiting for her to contact me anytime now to tell me that the DVDs are ready. I guess I will have to wait a little longer now. There is a saying that says" Good things come to those who wait !" (sorry, I have to ađd a little humor in just to make myself feel better) Anyway, I will try to contact the company also and verify everything. Thank You !

  • when you call in make sure to say Heaven Sword & Dragon Sabre 1984 version, since there a bunch of this version. Other wise Christine will be mistaken for a different version.

Those who are happy to have this copy soon, I think you should hold onto your horses, can again to check and make sure its the right one: Heaven Sword & Dragon Sabre 1984 - thats the version you want and tell them its the taiwanese version production from 1984. Thank you for your help everyone.

  • There is only two version of this series. The Hong Kong version starred by Tony Leung and this one! She knows what you are talking about!

  • Hey, did you ever heard back from Christine from Vietnam International Video? I have e-mailed her twice but never receive a response. My friend tried to call her but she wasn't in. Do you think she has change her mind about distributing the movie or may she just couldn't find the master copy?

  • Bad news everyone. I called Vietnam International. Today 9/14/2009 at 12:40pm and talked to Christine,. she says she thought its the one but its a different drama so as soon as she finds the master copy she will give me a call. She asked me to leave my name and number so she can call me when she finds it.

  • We will all know by the end of the week, DVD and Price!

  • I have to admit, Vietnam International Video has the right to charge whatever they want. They need to make some profit, or else they wouldn't do it. If they don't charge too much then I can buy more copies for my friends and families. If it is going to be very expensive, then I would have to look out for myself first!

  • Please let me know when the series is on DVD. If I get it, we all get it!

  • Comment removed

  • Does anybody know if Christine can mail me the entire series on DVD and how much it cost to do so ???

500.00 ???? And whats the website or phone number and mailing address so I can send them a money order.

    Thanks

  • More like $50.00. Here is Vietnam International Address. I got it off the Internet, so you better confirm with them first.

    Vietnam International Video.

    380 N 1st St.

    San Jose, CA 95112

    (408) 288-9600

  • Hi Vietdo 916,

How sure are you that the price will be around $50.00? Christine said that she will give me more information next week, so I didn'nt bother to ask yet. But I really do want to know. If it's actually $50.00, I will get more than 2 copies for sure!

  • I don't actually know the price. How much do you think? If we search for similar series, the price is around $50. If the price is somewhere around $75, I will buy it. Now, if the price is over $100, I will still buy it but the company will taste my wrath. Don't get greedy Vietnam International Video for i will upload it on the Internet!

  • It does sound too good to be true ha ? But that's what Christine said. So hopefully, if everything goes smoothly, I will at Least have 2 copies in my hands sometime next week! Too bad I'm not in the San Jose area, or else I would pick them up in person also.

  • Christine from Vietnam International Video said that she did find the master copy and will have the DVDs available hopefully by sometime next week! Hopefully they will make enough for anyone who wants to buy a copy. She said she will have further details next week.

  • Are you sure, brother? I will take the day off from work, drive to San Jose, eat some Com Tam and Che, and buy TWO copies!

  • I agree, our objective is to get the series on DVD. So please keep calling the company (Christine) just in case they have any doubts that may arise at the last minute. This movie is priceless to me, but it doesn"t mean that I can afford any amount either. I may have to get a second job!

  • I WANT IT! but how much would she charge?

  • The objective is to get the series on DVD then we will worry about the price. After years of searching, we might get it. I don't think she will charge like $100 or anything. But I am willing to pay $100. If I do, the whole world is going to get it!

  • The last time I talked to Christine, she said she was "working on it" as soon as she gets the master copy from storage. I don't want to be disappointed, so I will try not to be too happy until the DVDs are in my hands!

  • It's great to know that there is someone out there who is working just as hard (or harder) to obtain the series on DVD. I'm feeling optimistic. Keep it up!

  • I have been calling everyday, every hour on the hour. Different name each time of course!

  • Good news! I contacted Christine at the company and she said that she would reconsider to distribute the movie (she confirmed that they indeed have the master copy) if enough people contact her or show her that it will be beneficial financially to put their effort and energy into the project. Everyone,Please call Christine (408) 288-9600 and help !

  • I just called the company to ask if they have the movie, they said that in the past the did have the movie on videotape, but currently only have the newer versions on DVD. I'm so sad and dissapointed. Thanks anyway Vietdo916.

  • I have looked for this movie everywhere, please help me!

  • There is a company in San Jose, CA. They have the master copy but no plans to distribute. Call them and post it for all of us. 1 408 288 9600.

  • I really want to watch this movie, can someone tell me where I can get this movie? I have watched this movie when I was younger, and it still remains my all-time favorite .

  • Can we get this series on DVD?

  • WTF?

Thank you for posting this video.

Best kung fu movie ever made.

  • I have this movie on VHS, its really old and not clear anymore. My favorite version. The other version is good too - the 1986 HK version. The rest to me is all crappy. This one is the best and my favorite version of the movie. Where do they sell this version of this movie. Do they have it on dvd remastered? I have been looking for it for the 3 years. I want to buy this movie - the whole series, with english subtitles or english dubbed if they have it.
