hey does any one have any thing they can share with me look heres the deal im fifteen and just got this 1975 honda 450 from my recently deceased grandma it didint come with a manual or anything so im trying to find out what i have to do with it please message me if theres anything specific i should know so i dont ruin the antique engine
Very nice video. The 1973 CB450 K6 had seperate light panels between the tachometer and the speedometer and a different color scheme on the tank. I think you are correct with the "K5" but I believe it is a 1972 CB450 K5. Am I correct? Not sure.
I have a 72' cb450. it sat for about 10 to 12 years in storage. it wont start. i have cleaned the carbs, the tank, replaced the spark plugs and put a new battery in obviously. as far as i know the starter is good. when i try to crank it it turns and turns and the compression is good it just wont catch. do you have any suggestions?
Do you have any sparks? You can test this by loosing your sparkplugs and holding them against ground.
Also heating carbs is a good method to improve starting behavior. Be careful. Do this not in your garage! Take high octane petrol in your tank. These old bikes were not made for todays petrol. In Germany I use Super Plus. And nevertheless
cold starting is not easy.

Thank you.
You could be right. First registration of my motorcycle in Germany was June 1973. In fact it is a K5.
I think here in Germany the models came usualy later as in the USA. So it could be a 1972 model.

Great video. It gives me hope about getting my 72' running. One question what is the name on that first song? It's really cool.

Dont give up with Your restoring process. Sometimes it is a long way.
The song is called Just Yesterday
Interpret is Hope Daniels. She sings so beautiful.
