These Nepalese are savage people how could they choose goddess for certain year and then rmove and pick new one this is just a child abuse and lack of education, a childs life has been ruined here, they shouldn't practice this kind of ritual
WTF she speaks Nepali and she is Nepali right she doesn't look like Indian give her a citizenship comman an illegal Mexican can get American citizen then why not a Nepali get citizenship of her own country
@supertuber97 even if you never did find this women to sponsor, just think--there are thousands of women just like her, if you can find her to help, them find someone else, there is so much need!
This practice has no place in Buddhism, The Buddha taught us to not even worship him. The Buddha images were a Greek invention, the Buddha taught against worthless ceremonies.
how do u know that ? have you ever visited nepal ? understood the culture....??/ u need to do better research and buddha was never a greek invention. greeks have nothing to do with genesis of buddhism,.
I personally own 3/4 of the Pali Suttapitaka, the oldest collection of the Buddhas teachings, I am a devout Buddhist. I also have a BA in Art, the earliest period of Buddhist art was known as an-iconic, they represented the Buddha with a bodhi tree or empty throne, never by depicting the person. When the Bactrian Greeks converted to Buddhism they brought their tradition of statue making with them, converting their favorite god; Apollo, into the Buddha.
The term "bodhisata/Pali" or "bodhisatva/Sanskrit" simply means someone who is on the path to enlightenment. So technically all lay Buddhists are "bodhisatas" because we all seek enlightenment. Siddhartha was able to recognize himself when he became a Buddha, at that point HE WAS the Dhamma. If you read the earliest scriptures you will notice the Buddha made no differentiation between his own enlightenment and that of his monks and nuns.
