Apple Ram will never become cheaper over time. They kick their customers in the crotch with the high price they keep on their ram, it's stupid expensive. Go 3rd party ram, but research the companies before you buy of course. As an Apple Switch over (myself) who has come to love Apple, I wish they would reward their customers more by giving us cheaper prices since we'll always be buying from them. Not by half, but over time bring RAM down man.

As a Final Cut Editor for only 4 years now, I have learned that the Image Stable filter is not really that good. If your video is shakey, with still parts in between . . it will stable the shakey parts... but for some odd reason it will have an opposite effect on the stable portions of the video. So you'll still have shaky video. The demo they had was just set up.

I think why they are stopping with Mac World is a good one. Getting products out without having to rush is good (wish Microsoft would put out products that weren't rushed).

I never try to hype myself up for any of Apple's events. I find that even if something amazing is unveiled I am still disappointed. From a business world point of view ilfe 09, and iwork 09 were great releases yesterday. From a regular consumer point of view it isnt so much.

I agree. They should've talked a little about Snow Leopard but they didn't. But I think that sometime in the next 2-3 Months Apple will hold a Desktop Mac event to release the new Mini, Mac Pro, and iMac. All the notebooks have been updated but all the Desktop haven't been updated yet. Thats what I think will happen. And they will also talk about Snow Leopard I think too.

But thats just what I think. This isn't something I heard from Apple employee's or something lol. Just what I think.

Don't buy the iMac yet. The New ones didn't come out yesterday but they are coming real soon. They will probably have a Desktop Mac event within the next 2 months maybe 3. Just hold yo cash a little longer.

If you buy it now it I don't think it will come with 09 because 09 doesn't ship till the end of Jan so if you want 09 you have to wait like 3 weeks. But Highly recommend waiting a little longer. The new iMacs might come with price drops so you might save 1 or 2 hundred bucks. But they are coming with the new Nvidia Chipsets and Graphics which will bring a nice performance boost and and even better performance boost when you upgrade to Snow Leopard this summer.

Its a lot worth for people who need the power of a 17" Macbook Pro. its really worth it for the 8 hour battery as well. 17" Macbook Pro's aren't for the average consumer. some Pro Photo and Video editors need that kind of power on the go. The Macbook Pro is what they need.

I didn't care for most of the keynote, but in the end, they showed the only product I actually cared about. I actually like this new 17" MBP. You can get Toshiba Qosmio with roughly similar specs for $2000, but it comes with twice weight, almost 3 times the thickness and half the battery life. I've walked around with a "Dell XPS gen 2" for about 3 years now, I work out regularly and that thing still makes me walk with a haunch when its in my backpack. X_X;

A typical HD is just that: what you've known for the past number of years, with spinning/moving parts. A SSD, or SOlid Stade Drive, is a drive that has no moving parts; basically a large flash drive, much like what's in the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPod Nano and iPod Shuffle, though much much larger. The technology for such large SSD is still new, which is why they are still so pricey.
