wow, that's pretty cool. It must be cheap. Who woulda thought that little parachute can lift that much. They should make it drop one of those 500 lb bombs so you wouldn't have to wait for a jet to come from some distant airfield.
@BlackTalon53 going to guess that the helicopter style pads are designed to take that impact, and following that design pattern then going dead stick makes sense to prevent prop damage.
