I can see why you don't use the BFG, slow rate of fire and slow projectile speed kinda make it useless against anything that isn't stationary and right beside you. That is unless you're taking on a group of imps or something, in which case they don't pose much of a threat anyway.

@Shinotsa The projectile doesn't do the grand majority of the damage, it only hits for 100 to 800. The invisible rays that shoot out in a 45 degree arc do the majority.Grand theoretical maximum damage of 4258 damage.

That's enough to kill a cyberdemon in one shot, sadly, DOOM's RNG doesn't allow that.

@predcon1 Vanilla Doom 2 doesn't allow them to do that and I don't think any of the Doom expansions modify that. Things they can't revive are themselves, Cyberdemons, and Spider Masters. I forget if there is anything else.
