  • marty schwartz verison is better.

  • @EpicDesires69 i have a new, revised version of this guitar lesson video, with the fills ( and with tabs! ).....just follown the link in the video :-)

  • Great Lesson, but you sound like your describing a bowel movement..... You need some ruffage in your diet!

  • lol,now play it on drums! XD

  • drop D.

in a afact is the only way to play it

  • this was helpful

  • It's wrong

    Almost everything

  • hi bob

  • wrong

  • is this in standard tuning?

  • I think its supposed to be drop d tuning

  • yup!! actually i'll be posting a revised version of this lesson on saturday....more acurate, and will all the fills, with tabs too!

  • When I was first learning guitar (on my own) I was playing it in "D" but there was no low D string, so I would hit the low E thinking that's the lowest note.

I didn't realize it was the wrong note until about 5 or 6 months, lmao.

I still have an old tape of this from like 1978 or something and it still cracks me up.

  • Not right plays

    Tune is D A D G B E

  • actually i have a new revised version of this lesson on my youtube channel....

  • ur awesome

  • hey, thanks bob. always wanted to learn that riff.

p.s. - you do play it correctly for standard tuning. these people are jackasses. they even type in ebonics...lol

  • teach MR CROWLEY

  • thats easy I can make a vid of that

its D power chord on A+D strings, then open A to 1st fret low E then D power, neck slide, then power chord on A 1st fret and D 3rd fret then A 1st fret hammer on to 3rd fret then open then back to D power chord

  • jimmy page plays it on th open E dropped down to an D then the D on the A string then C on the A string then the D on the dropped E string then E sharp and back again ur playing it the wrong way

  • please do a video on kashmir by zeppelin

  • You legend man! Awesome lesson :D

  • thx man you rock!!!!!

  • hey that's how he sounds so what you two have little worlds for making comments like that ever heard of the saying "if you don't have anything nice to say 'bout someone dont say anything" how bout saying THANKS BOB! you two are losers

  • dude, if you gonna explain things... dont sound like an idiot.

  • wow u sound like an idiot

  • I donno how to drob to D

But on my tuners it has some small b's (5 total)

If I give it one b, is it then drob D?

  • just tune the low e string down until it sounds like a. or u could just tune low e on the seventh fret to a open

  • do it once, its E flat. Do it twice and its Drop D

  • drop d!

  • With no intention of bothering one tip: drop E to D (you can check it if you listen the song) ;D

  • 1) Drop D

    2) You're playing the turnaround wrong

    3) what about the solo bits in the second "verse"?

  • Cud not see it dude just floting squeares

  • good job :)

  • thanks , just a tip , u explained it way to fast , and it got pretty annoying, otherwise well done

  • u rock... thx

  • sorry dude but this is both wrong and right in a way. it's right because you're playing it like it sounds when it's in the key of E. but it's really in the key of D so you have to drop the 6th string down to a D and so on...you might wanna do another video cause the drop D is not only right, but much easier to play

  • ur so good m8 ur sick keep up the good work and thanks iv learnt the whole song now m8 so thanks

  • fucking idea men

  • the song is played in drop D tuning

  • Thanks a lot, Bob.

  • thanks helped a lot

  • good sound a like, but that is not how it's played. the low e is dropped to D. it's played in the first position, to make an easier transition for the 3-1-0 pulloffs on descending strings....

  • thanks m8 ur ace make a video on how 2 play dazed and confuesd by led zepp thanks for the lesson thumbs up

  • I'm just learning and found this very helpful thanks, keep up the good work

  • Hey bob I enjoy your lessons alot, but I,m almost positive this song is played with dropped D tunning bringing it down 3 frets,Ive even watched jimmy play it

  • yes you're right.

  • changed my mind

  • nevermind that was good sorry

  • dude sick lesson

  • Great! thanx man

  • play it faster genius :P

  • wow this is extremly wrong man

  • thx so much man lol i couldnt figure it out

  • thanks man it helped me a lot

  • thx broseph.

  • all u people complaining about drop d, get a life...music is about feeling and interpertation... he likes playing it the way he plays it and it sounds good

  • Playing in the wrong key isn't interpreation, its playing in the wrong key, please, don't call this interpretation. Listen to some improvised jazz by charlie parker or louis, thats about interpration. That's what music is about, this is a crappy recital.

  • I know everyone else has said it but what the hell... your playing it a key to high! jimmy page plays it in drop d

  • If you know everyone else said it why did u feel the need to repeat them?

  • I'm not repeating them intentionly, i'm saying exactly what i think, which happens to be what many other people think

  • its in drop d the top e is tuned to d

  • this is wrong...

is drop D go for tabs or anyhting and you'll see it

  • Love the lesson Bob!

  • Bob... you are amazing but you drop in one part of the song but i can touch better with your lessons

  • don't listen to bob this guitar lesson is wrong

the guitar is supose to be in drop d

that means drop the e string to d

and before you put this commentary as a bad

go for tabs or anything and you'll know what i'm talking abaut

  • Drop D would be right. tune to open d dude. If you dont know how, someone on utube can show you.

  • it is in drop d

  • dude its in drop D you retard

  • drop D FTW

  • tejnks bob !!

your are amazing, i play so much better for you, and your lessons !

  • nice good lesson

  • very good lesson, ill post a vid of me playing this as a respones soon

  • omggggggg this song is in drop d :) its sooo much better and easier and it sounds coooooolerrrrr...lol.

  • thanks for your lesson...:)

  • Would it kill you to include the nut in the frame so we can tell which fret you're on?

  • would it kill you to not be so fucking lazy? figure it out yourself or ask a little nicer maybe! plus he tells you in the video what frets hes on.

  • Someone must have hollered "Hey faggot dickhead," because you sure answered quick.

Plus the song is supposed to be drop D tuned. So mind your own business, if I wanted to hear from an asshole I would fart.

  • kind obvious by the pitch of the note, if you can't tell that just look at the dots on the fret...

  • Bob from Toronto, Canada, ur awesome!

  • thanks Bob

  • ...

  • thank you but it would esier if you put it on a chart or something peace

  • shut the fuck up this lesson is super! you cant get alwayes the lessons you want you idiot!

  • lol thanks this has helped me alot

  • its in drop d

  • actually it is in drop d

  • Buckethead's Giant Robot uses this version in Zeppelin Con Carne.

  • drop d dude, its way easier

  • Yeah, it's in drop D

  • You're in the wrong key, supposed to be in D and you're playing in E

  • but is in another key, with the 6th string in D, and then you play D and C on 5th string, etc..

  • sounds like the dude off south park lol
