  • Tim Burton...nuff said

  • Doesn't the milk spurting from Sparky's throat remind of you of Pavlov's dogs? :S Could someone please tell me if that's a deliberate allusion or me reading too deeply into it. :L

  • @MrPaulHaw I mean blood :L

  • I saw this in the cinema back in 84, I was really young. absolutely loved it. But can anyone tell me if they remember seeing it in the cinema? and if so what Movie played after it? as it wasnt the main feature. I thought it was BMX bandits, but that was late 1983.

  • It tried to eat my Raymond!! LOL

  • THE DAD'S ONE OF THE ROBBERS FROM HOME ALONE!! :D

  • I dont think that this film will be ruined if it's tim burton directing it again.

  • @Toddingtonbear I was going to say that! Nothing can be ruined by Tim.

  • 4:05 .....O_O mickey mouse?!?! ..... =D

  • "They Put The Real Batman Kite Logo Only, In: (This Short Disney Film!")

  • What the fuck... when I was watching this my finger just felt like it was electrocuted. Same finger I actually zapped in a socket a couple weeks ago.

  • good thing he didnt try the pet sematary first

  • I hate the evil empire that is disney

  • Too scary? I watched this all the time when I was 4 and I'm the biggest wimp ever!

  • The shadow the dog makes reminds me of every stopmotion by tim burton ^^

  • Everytime his dog wakes up and starts wagging his tail again and licking his hand, I tear up a bit. It's just perfect. Good dog! =)

  • Honestly, how was THIS too scary for kids? :\

  • WOW!!! Disney really fired burton for this saying "Its too scary for kids" That was just a bunch of bull shit! But that's what they asses get bcuz now they're paying him to make the a feature length based on the short they fired him for lmao fucking quacks

  • @William82oct That's not really a comeuppance to Disney; They're going to make a ton of money off the film, just the same as Tim Burton will.

  • 7:10

  • too scary for kids

  • ( so 240p we meet again )

i meet of all of you are sick of this comment " and the 240p"

  • I first saw that dog from one of those Babe movies

  • the 3D black and white stop-motion animated feature will be great!!

  • this film is really sad, i cried

  • DONADL DUCK JUICE!!!!!! :D

  • at 9:15 the girl's like, "i know what i saw" and i could've swore i heard the mom say, "sometimes we get fried" i was like LOL! yeah, weed'll do that to you :)

  • lmao at barbie

  • @2244number

No its going to be a boy

  • IS that 10 ear old a decendant of Frankenstein's creater?

  • When they remake this, I hope it's the same storyline. The way I've heard it, it's going to be a MAN, not a young boy, and it'll probably lose what makes all his movies so great: cute and funny, but with a dark edge.

But, this is Tim Burton, so we have to trust him to not let it all go to his head and for him to stay on his great stop-motion career :)

PS, he must really like the name "Vincent"

  • @2244number its the same story line.and dont worry it will still be a boy.

but i think its gonna be a 3d film.

  • @samblackside - thanks :)

  • @samblackside i willl cry if its 3D, it's the worst thing known to films

  • victor reminds me of the young sam winchester

  • thats weird how the clock landed on 9 and tim burton made the new movie"9"

actually i heard that in every tim burton movie theres a secret 9

  • reminds me of Tim burtons short claymation film vincent

  • the old school :D

  • "I'll be back"

  • La-la-la-love this movie (:

    They should NOT remake it.

It will totally ruin this movie.

  • @kobe2242 i dont think so... remember tim burton its pretty good

  • a wolfman cup, cool

  • <3

  • fun, dark and hiliarous spoof of frankenstein, bride of frankenstein and godzilla

  • Its a really cute story.. with a REALLY dark twist

  • i dont want them to remake this, it was my favorite movie when i was a kid (this an Milo & Otis) why do they have to remake it, im sure they are going to totally ruin it and take away all its charm and fun

  • @Squibfire Well, at least Tim Burton will be behind the wheel of the remake of this.

  • @Squibfire Really?

So far, Burton has hired most of the artists from Corpse Bride and still planned out the movie just like this one. The only differences from this one and the new one are the length of the movie, the animation (it's still black and white like this one) and the kid makes monster movies.

    I still see no downside.

  • @CreepECrawlyMan i wasnt aware he was hiring the people from Corpse Bride, and if he really cares about this and takes a lot of time and puts good effort into it he can probably make it good but im worried that it will end up really bad, i was not a fan of his adaptation of Sweeney Todd or his new Alice in Wonderland, however i did enjoy Corpse Bride, so that does give me some comfort, i guess we wont know until it outs, i hope that im wrong and it is terrific

  • @Squibfire well atleast tim burton is remaking the movie and not some other random person

  • I'm curious to see how they will pull this off as a full length feature.

  • It dousnt make any difference whether your a a girl or a boy. Lots of girls like tim burton. Most of my friends (who are girls) love tim burton and so do i

  • DUD NEVER ENDING STORY KID

  • this is classic tim burton and i love it!

  • Raymond the Dog........?

  • Very clever x Tim Burtion is my idol even though im a girl Lol x I <3 His Book Burton On Burton :D

  • So this kid can bring a dead dog back to life, but can't properly fake being sick?

    Weird combination. XD

  • XD the last scene were his parents "Oh..shit" face

  • lol "he tried to kill my baby".

  • transformers, 2012, and Avatar aint got nothing on this!!

  • more like "freinken terrier" seeing as how this a bull terrior not a dachshund

  • That kid looks so familiar, I'm thinking I've seen him in other 80's movies but not sure...

  • @Lania99999 You probably saw Victor (played by Barret Oliver) in the neverending story.. :)

  • @martiambort that's exactly where I saw him, tx!

  • OMG I loved the look on the dad's face when he saw the dog alive again XD

Screw the 10 jerks who didn't like this video -_-

  • Aww, that was actually (weirdly) adorable, i love the mini "doctor", and Sparky rocks.

  • 7:16 Hello kitty in the background??

    Lovely movie ((:

  • I hate when you try to get your parents to think you're sick and can't go to school and they just don't buy it :P

  • i like it how at 1:58 the clocks hand stops at 9 and the ironic thing is Tim burton is the producer for the movie" 9

  • @Kitsune900 thats his lucky number

  • @sewingmachine660 ya i know its thats his lucky number but its just ironic i mean even though he didn't direct the movie " 9 " and was only the producer of it, its still a pretty interestingtwist

  • That kid is so similar as Vincent :)

  • Why did Disney give this a PG rating? This isn't scary at all! Compared to what kids watch nowadays...

  • how does this not wake up his parents?

  • That kid's like McGyver!

  • ZOMBIE DOGGIE!!!

  • Did Danny Elfman do the music for this film? It's so magnificent, uplifting and lively with, of course, an eerie and thrilling vibe.

  • he sure has nosy neighbors....=D thx for posting!

  • what a ten year old...

  • @lalolalo07 such fith grader is a genius..

  • @Senayabiyu wish i was like that when i was 10...

  • PERFECT ENDING!!!!

  • Bastian lost the plot a bit after his mother died...

  • I can't wait for the Stop-Motion release of this ;D

  • omg when is the stop motion version out? :O

  • @XxVamireXprincessxX : November 2011

  • @silverxsilence oh right, forgot, it's not 2009 anymore, lol. So yes one year from now.

  • @XxVamireXprincessxX in a couple of years. Provided no delays accur.

  • @KennedyxxJames: release date for Stop-Motion is Nov. 2011!

  • girl is a bad actor

  • 7:07 OMG great shape barbie!

that was when barbie was a her best

  • Yay! Tim Burton is working on a feature length stop-motion version for release in theaters ^_^

  • Frankenweeine isn't a weenie, lol, he's a bull terrier

  • Is it just me, or does the actor that play the little girl kinda look like a dude?

  • This little great movie is awesome. I don't even like Tim Burton's work, but I really like this one. I don't even mind it is in black and white.

By the way, there are some special effects here and some of the atmosphere resembles the 1st "Back to the Future".

  • @123braveboy Dude get real!!! you don´t ,ind it is black and white?? please it has to be cause Frankenstein by Mary Shelley was b&w

  • Well your correct about disney being wrong about firing tim burton which is probably one of the biggest mistakes they ever made but look on the other hand if disney had not fired him he would have never been where he is today he would have still been animating things and him never getting credited because they thought it looked like roadkill.

  • LOL Stupid Disney - firing him over this great piece of work. I hoped they regretted it after all he's done. I bet they're ashamed - I mean now he's doing a remake with them on this. LOL I hate Disney.

  • I agree.

Burton is a genius, disney are pathetic for firing him.

  • what a loss for them

  • wtf, how come i never heard of that, ur saying that disney fired tim burton...if they did, good, hes way better of by himself

  • @PlasticPunkDoll he didn´t get fired, he walk out on them, he´s been working with Disney from time to time after this, if fired he wouldn´t have worked with them after

  • That's the guy from Seinfeld's "The Dog"!

  • I can't believe 80,000 people didn't get to this part.. and 20,000 didn't get to the next part! How could they?? :( Tim Burton is amazing.. and he shares my first name which is awesome haha

  • pust! tim burton é tim burton

  • omg llol 8:42

  • i love it!

  • Tim's work is Fantastic!

  • "HOW CAN YOU AFFORD THESE THINGS!?"

  • The wig is clearly an homage to May Clarke's hair in the original Frankenstein.

  • Comment removed

  • Maybe, but it's just so obvious on her.

  • aa esta genial su taza del hombre lobo¡¡

  • Anybody catch the cup at 3:04?

  • Yeah, I saw it.

  • Lol! yea ^^

  • What do you mean? I don't see anything.

  • You've gotta love the homages to the Classic Frankenstein films from Universal.

And did you catch the bat on the kite when he's trying to catch the lightning? A nifty coincidence considering his two "Batman" films.

  • he is alive!!!

    awesome movie!!

  • watch "hasta los huesos".

  • how cute its like a mini me of vincent price!

  • he sure was a fan of Ed Wood. Love those electrods.

  • I really liked this movie but was that the end?

  • watch part III

  • There is some early A-list actors in this movie, well before they made it big.

  • Who? Shelley Duvall had already made her biggest movies, and Daniel Stern went on to do Home Alone, but I wouldn't call him an A-list star.

  • like who (apart from shelley duval)

  • beautiful music. great movie.

  • this is the cutest thing i have ever seen

  • SPARKY'S ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • i would love to have a frankendog

  • isn't the kid's dad dre cool from green day?

  • no its daniel stern the guy from home alone the funny stupid robber lol

  • robin william is the frog prince...that episode is probably the best!

  • Wow, Sofia Coppola was just as untalented way back then!

  • can't wait for the stop-motion one to come out :DD

  • Sparky wasn't even messing with her Raymond. That lady was unquestionably a local nut like the one in "Edward Scissorhands". XD

  • I heard they are going to remake this movie

  • its pretty coo, is this really under disney - i find that hard 2 believe 4 some reason..

  • it tried to kill my raymand!!!! lol

  • she also plays Wendy in 'the shining'

  • i watched an interview with tim burton and he said that edward scissorhands was about how people feel like freaks in their teen years and how everything they touch seems to get ruined somehow. So no, it wasnt about "frankenstein" yeah, so his life was created 1. a corpse was not involved 2. electricity wasnt involved it was all mechanical. so that doesnt relate. and OBVIOUSLY his life had to be "created" how the hell else are you gunna get a man with scissors for hands.
  • Man, was Tim Burton obsessed with the story of Frankenstein. Hence this and Edward Scissorhands.

  • edward scissorhands was NOT about that. the only resemblance is that edward did not belong and was confronted by the angry citizens. read autobiography and don't say a WORD against him! sry, im kinda protective of that subject...

  • Edward Scissorhands WAS influenced by Mary Shelley's novel, Frankenstein. Read wikipedia!

  • wikipedia is not a reliable source. edward was similar to frankenstein, but was more based on tim burton himself. it was a fairytale.

  • dude what is the relation u see between edward an frankenweenie? the first movie or book is about creating life and the second is about a modification of the body

  • love it brill

  • wheres part3?

  • What a great cast. Daniel Stern is great when he's not playing an absolute baffoon/lunatic; I've never seen Shelley Duvall in anything else besides The Shining so she looks human to me now; Sofia Coppola is actually good in this and maybe she should work for Tim more often if she wants to act; and Barret Oliver is perfect, mostly because he can play anything.

  • shelley duvall is in annie hall{woody allen film} and has a significant role in Popeye {olive oil} also starring robin williams

  • She played Olive Oil? She seems perfect for that! I've only seen Annie Hall once a while back. That seems like a movie she would do too.

  • well in annie hall;she's a rebound girl for woody allen's character;she's a journalist who becomes extremely hard to please!!! and when it comes to her portrayal of Olive Oil very few performers posses physical accuracy(ex. hugh jackman, wolverine.)veiw the film it's great fun that is perfectly stylized!

  • She also did Fairy Tail Theater, Im not sure if thats the exact name all I remember is that it was a show with big name actors who would act out fairy tails

  • I don't know if it had to do with Shelley Duvall starring in his short or not, but Tim Burton directed the "Aladdin" episode for Shelley Duvall's "Faerie Tale Theatre". ; )

  • i had the hugest crush on barret oliver when i was little... i loooooooooooved him in the neverending story!!

  • this child looks extremely like the little boy who played Charlie i nCharlie and the Chocolate Factory : D great movie

  • barret is amazing!

  • that's sofia coppola at 7:09

    true story

  • Wow her acting in this is probably better than in Godfather Part 3.

  • lmao

  • You make it sound like her acting in Godfather 3 is actually worth mentioning. One of the worst ever. She's like Brando in this compared the Godfather III.

  • Did the dog explode or something? He's all patched up and sewn together.

  • well. he was hit by a car.

  • mkay... this is really scary.

  • i just love how his parents don't notice all the equipment in his room

  • i hope they don't. if they did they'd be weird.

  • I remember watching this when I was like 4 or 5. nice seeing it again

  • I guess the kid sewed him back together first? lol gross.

  • I love this!!! X3
