@ frank0067 yes it does lose power because you the pressure is all leaving, in my 1983 Honda urban express, you can hear the ignition of the gas and then you can feel it lose some of the torque and then start the cycle again, this is only one cylinder so these are a lot more defined
the piston on its way down seems to lose some power as it passes the exhaust port , and the pressure is releaased through it before the piston makes it through the full downward combustion stroke
so wouldnt the fuel form the intake port leak out the exaust while its uncovered? dont see how this can be efficient? people tell me 2 storke uses more fuel, on out bords on boats . also can u turbocharge these?
2 stroke engine if using supercharging or hybrid turbocharging slove oil burning problem even for petrol, to supercharging/turbocharging a 2 stroke petrol, u need to draw the air away from crankcase. chrysler's design and toyota's design are the most efficient, no oil burning but toyota's design are the most complex 2 stroke engine ever build
@cop083 gas gets sprayed on it then the spark plug ignites it witch causes pistons to move up and down witch turns a belt witch turns wheels (very un detailed) thats the basics
gas is sprayed on the spark plud then it ignites it witch cause pistons to move witch turn a belt that turns a sprocket that turns a chain witch turns a wheel (very un detailed) thats the basics
Guys, just want to ask that as seen in the video, duriing the intake stroke, the fuel enters the combustion chamber and at the same time the exhaust gas is exhausted.
the why dsnt the fresh fuel during intake gets exhausted along with the exhaust gas????? i'm asking it because its seen that for couple of seconds, the intake as well as the exhaust port are open!!
I have a question about these 2 stroke engines. How is the spark gerated? This important fact seems to be ignored by all the illustrations. Also, how can you tell if a spark condensor is bad? I have two that I am working on and I get no spark to the plugs on these. Please help before I throw these out in the trash or set them to the curb for the next moron, lol
@deaftodd Well there's the intake (inward/downward motion depending on your masturbation position) and then the compression (outward/upward motion) so i would say 2 stroke, but it's hard to accurately compare an internal combustion engine to a penis
2 stroke engines arnt that efficient because when the intake port is uncovered and the fuel, air mixture goes into the chamber half of it escapes thu the exhaust port that is y there not efficient
@DanFrederiksen theres no global warming, theres a global cooling of the earth, and climate change is part of our earth cycles. I agree we can do more for the environment but thinking our human co2 production hurts the planet is just flat wrong.
you think that maybe the scientific concensus for 30 years weighs a bit more than your over unity tattoos to teeth ratio.
co2 rise hand in hand with human industrialization, hand in hand with global temperature rise and hand in hand with ice depots meltings. the north pole is fucking melting you retard. in a handful of years it will be completely melted for the first time in known history.
Obviusly you dont race two strokes just dont get the job done so they suck you prob dont even know the diffrence between a two stroke and a 4 stroke hahaha
u obviously dont race. I traded my 250f for a cr 250 two stroke because its a hell of a lot more competitive in the lights class. How u gonna tell me a 250f is faster round a track than a 250.
first comes the combustion which makes a downwerd force. this force make a suction that pulls in more fuel and air to the chamber.also during the downwerd the exhaust is let out so that on the way back up it makes compresion and then combustion. thus for 2 strokes.
i love the two stroke engine. my bike is so light and i can whip it around a bend alot easier than the bigger four stroke. its a shame alot of companys have stopped making new ones
mehh oke they dont sux but lets put it like this: if you have a lawnmower with a 5.5 briggs 4 stroke and a stiga weedwackers i prefer working with the briggs 4 stroke instead of the stiga 2 stroke...
all the rest of the oil companies that produce 2 STROKE oil have to be eviromentaly friendly.
Companies that DO NOT produce friendly two stroke engine oil, should not be allowed to sell. (regulation should be that strict) Replace the oil NOT THE 2 STROKE ENGINE!!!
TWO STROKE ENGINE IS VERY EFFICIENT AND VERY LOW MAINTENACE! IT'S SIMPLY GREAT!!
Nice and rare comment you made, I hope that the new direct injection systems for 2 stroke engines will stop this technical mobbing what is going on these days and give them a new life.
Also: The big 2 stroke cross head marine diesel engines are the far most efficient piston engines ever build.
And : Is the 2 stroke engine REALLY this "dirty"?
They honestly burn oil bit by bit. - finish.
But, what really happens to the waste oil of the 4 stroke once you drained it.???
This is the second time I heard this,so it seems not to be only a bad joke there should be some thruth with it. If it is really this way that they add the waiste oil to the fuel of the big crude oil burners you should add all that toxic stuff that happens than to the "cleanness" of the 4 stroke. This enviromental arguments 2 stroke vs 4 stroke is a lie. - And again, -you are right what you say about modern 2 stroke oil
@Adideva01 don't get me wrong, i love 2 strokes. sound, smell and power. but they are not efficient by any means and they are not low maintenance. they need rebuilds so much more often than 4 strokes and they chew through spark plugs like nobody's business and they are PIGS till they are warm!
@Adideva01 If 2-strokes are not changed towards new technology, there will be no change in oil products. Like 2-strokes outboards that have carburetors, are illegal in EU, but those with new efficient direct injection, are legal. If dirt bike producers moved towards Direct Injection, they would have many benefits.
@Adideva01 U DUMBASS 2 strokes take soooo much mainanance i have to rebuild my engine evry month! and theyr way les efficient! and theyer bannded 2003 or newer becuase they thro off sparks and that! they normaly dont have spark arresters i love 2 strokes but theyre getting way to much credit!
@Adideva01 yup but in canada and the rest of the world 2 stroke bikes are aloowed on the road the ktm exc 2 stroke enduro's are quite popular in canada and the uk has a lot of 2 stroke street legal 2 strokes sorry but the USA has officaially been fucked over by the EPA.
The 2 stroke-engine is a great engine indeed, but it is less effective than the 4 stroke-engine.If U watch this video,U can see that a small amount of gasoline-air mixture is being exhausted, just before the compression would start. Also the oil has to be mixed with the gas in order for the engine to get lubrication. This decreases the gasoline's octanic value.
yeah, but for the displacement, your peak horsepower is so much higher with the 2. You see alot of this in dirtbikes right now, as they are trying to switch over to 4 strokes. They have to allow twice the displacement for the 4 strokes to compete at all. And the current 4 strokes just have to be pushed to the limit to compete, even with twice the displacement. They overheat more, and are higher maintenence.
hey if you like this, you might like a revolutionary concept of the IMPLOSION engine converted from a 4 stroke to do it all in 2 strokes running on water/HHO Brown's Gas, which implodes when ignited in a vacuum.
The graphics are not as good as this is (great job btw) but it is meant as a concept, and the drawings were all done by hand in Paintshop Pro, converted to animated Gif's and later made into a video with explanations of the theory. There are 5 cycles in the 2 strokes.
Hey, I have a 2 stroke xg-505 extreme gas scooter. However, it takes over 50 pulls are more to start the engine. I am wondering what is the problem with the scooter. plus it goes 15mph instead of 30mph. I really need some help.
