@ frank0067 yes it does lose power because you the pressure is all leaving, in my 1983 Honda urban express, you can hear the ignition of the gas and then you can feel it lose some of the torque and then start the cycle again, this is only one cylinder so these are a lot more defined

2 stroke engine if using supercharging or hybrid turbocharging slove oil burning problem even for petrol, to supercharging/turbocharging a 2 stroke petrol, u need to draw the air away from crankcase. chrysler's design and toyota's design are the most efficient, no oil burning but toyota's design are the most complex 2 stroke engine ever build

I have a question about these 2 stroke engines. How is the spark gerated? This important fact seems to be ignored by all the illustrations. Also, how can you tell if a spark condensor is bad? I have two that I am working on and I get no spark to the plugs on these. Please help before I throw these out in the trash or set them to the curb for the next moron, lol

first comes the combustion which makes a downwerd force. this force make a suction that pulls in more fuel and air to the chamber.also during the downwerd the exhaust is let out so that on the way back up it makes compresion and then combustion. thus for 2 strokes.

Like 2-strokes outboards that have carburetors, are illegal in EU, but those with new efficient direct injection, are legal. If dirt bike producers moved towards Direct Injection, they would have many benefits.

The 2 stroke-engine is a great engine indeed,but it is less effective than the 4 stroke-engine.If U watch this video,U can see that a small amount of gasoline-air mixture is being exhausted,just before the compression would start.Also the oil has to be mixed with the gas in order for the engine to get lubrication.This decreases the gasoline's octanic value.

yeah, but for the displacement, your peak horsepower is so much higher with the 2. You see alot of this in dirtbikes right now, as they are trying to switch over to 4 strokes. They have to allow twice the displacement for the 4 strokes to compete at all. And the current 4 strokes just have to be pushed to the limit to compete, even with twice the displacement. They overheat more, and are higher maintenence.

hey if you like this, you might like a revolutionary concept of the IMPLOSION engine converted from a 4 stroke to do it all in 2 strokes running on water/HHO Brown's Gas, which implodes when ignited in a vacuum.

The graphics are not as good as this is (great job btw) but it is meant as a concept, and the drawings were all done by hand in Paintshop Pro, converted to animated Gif's and later made into a video with explanations of the theory. There are 5 cycles in the 2 strokes.

Power band isn't a "thing" its just a peak of power in a certain place like on the dyno charts were you get the most peak power at a certain time and place.
