  • does this have aim.?

  • yea it has aim but your going to have to download it in the blackberry website throu the phone

  • Is it actually possible for people to access ur info in your phone and read your text messages?? If so.. what is the best way to stop it??

  • just got mine in the mail....the volume down key depresses and makes the click sound but the up key is depressed and doesn't click at all. Is this normal or is it a manufacturer defect. They usually both click a bit up and down i would believe from every friggin other phone ever

  • whats the difference between the curve 8310 8320 and 8330

  • I think the 8330 has faster internet

  • well the 20 has wifi but other than that the 30 is cdma and the 10 and 20 is gsm

  • @dumdum4life: the 8320 has wi-fi and I believe might be GSM, the 8330 has no wi-fi and is CDMA. Don't know anything about the 8310.

  • Oh, and I forgot to mention in the last comment, but if you have the store transfer the files for you they will probably have a charge for doing that.

  • wont be that big of deal, ill do it myself, ill send a text to everyone sayin my new # and il just go bcak and forht, thanks agina-BERGET13

  • hey, i was tryin to get some info i have a instinct rite now and i have 10 days to swap it 4 the blackberry 8330, and i was tryin to get some insight on wat u think would be a overrall better phone, thanks write back soon

  • That depends on the store itself. I'm @ Rogers and I we don't charge to help someone out like that.

  • hey guys, i have a sprint phone its the "fusic" i have a sd card and am geting a curve sept 1, can i just put in my card and all my contacts will be saved or will i not be able to use it and have to add all the contacts again? and will i get a new # or will it stay the same? thanks, please reply so i will get an email saying someone has responded, thanks again, BERGET

  • I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it won't save the contacts. If your old phone has bluetooth you can transfer the contacts using bluetooth. Otherwise you'll have to have someone at the store do it for you, or enter them all again by hand. As long as it's a microSD card then it will definately work your new phone. Whether or not you get a new number depends on if you sign a new contract or or not, ask the person at the store if it will be changing or not.

  • alrighty, no i dont ahve bluetooth with it, the card i have is a micro sd so it'll work with the curve, thanks for the respones, i will post bcak frequent here, i will def. post after i get it sept 1, thansk for givvin me the heads up,

  • No problem. Good luck with your new phone. I think you'll like it. It's a fun gadget. Definately post back and let us know what you think.

    Goodbye and god bless,

    Jim

  • love my curve. sounds excellent. plugged my sd card from old phone and the curve found all my media automatically.radness

  • How is the sound on this phone, does it sound nice and sharp?

  • Calls are clear and crisp, and the music capabilities are great for a phone. Only thing I wish this phone had was an FM transmitter.

  • can u lock your text messages on it so people cant go through them without a password?

  • I believe the easiest way would be to lock the entire phone.

  • Does this phone have t9?

  • I honestly don't know. I don't use it. Try searching on google.

  • Can you put pictures from your pc to the phone like a wallpaper??

  • Yes you can. Using software that comes with the phone you can transfer video, music, ringtones, and pictures.

  • hey dude i got mine and i love it i got it when i got out of drivers ed and if you could id like some helo tryign to download games form blackberrys web site

  • I'm not from Alltel. Just to clear things up, but yes I do have Wi-Fi.

  • Does the one from alltel, like you have, have wi-fi?

  • this phone hold music also right?

  • would the same price would be to the att, or would it cost more? how much do you pay for month? thanks.

  • I'm not quite sure what you meant by the first question. I pay About $53 dollars a month for my phone, it is a second line on my moms account, so your price may be different.

  • ohh i got you

  • just saw that you were watching and u see

  • well i dont think its gonna be that much and what do you mean by apps?

  • Well by Apps I mean the software that blackberry has made for you to use on their phones. If you want to use their software they charge $10 to use it. Like their Blackberry Web browser, Blackberry Im, etc. If you want to get around that you can find free apps to download to your phone. Such as Safari mobil. I don't know much more about free apps since I don't use many. Only free app I use it Yahoo Im.

  • hey

  • Hey what?

  • Ahaha

  • Thank you for your help and im going to get my curve or either razr v9m tommorow and i think im going to lean towards the curve because like you said i do have unlimited text on my old phone (kyocera kx21-2x0) and its like 10 bucks a month. so if its only 10 dollars for the iternet and apps then blackberry here i come. once again thanks for the help!!!

  • It's $10 dollars for the apps. I'm not sure how much the internet is. My plan is shared with 3 other lines. So I would have to divide it up to figure out exactly how much the internet is costing me. I pay a total of $53.

  • Another question, i had a blackberry pearl, but lost it, can i just go to my customer service and get the Blackberry 8330?

  • If you have insurance on the phone you can file a claim. Otherwise I'm not sure. I would imagine not. Best thing to do would be to ask them. They will probably give you the same phone, or the next one up if they have discontinued the phone you were using.

  • Thanks alot, i appreciate it.

  • Anytime, I hope it works out for ya. Best of luck!

  • good video. im with alltel and i have a question. what did you have to pay for the extra features like web browser and did they ask you whether u wnated text or video?

  • First off, thank you for watching. Now to answer your questions. I payed an extra $10 a month to be able to use the blackberry features (Web browser etc...) However if you wanted you could find free applications and download them to your phone and it would allow you to save the $10 for the blackberry plan. The plan I had already had unlimited text and picture messenging. So it was a non issue. If you yourself do not already have that, I would advise that you ask when you are setting up your plan

  • Had unlimited video on it beforehand too. (Forgot to mention it in the first message)

  • Yea I had to upgrade my plan to something like that. I can't remember exactly what they called it. And yes as long as your phone has text/picture/video messenging on it you should be able to send them. It sound like you're good to go. I would not do a LOT of texting untill I got my first bill. Then you can look at what they're charging you for. That way you're sure they didn't make a mistake setting up your plan.

  • You will have to check with your cell phone service provider to make sure you have a plan that will allow you to do that. If you have picture and video messenging included in your plan then you can do it.

  • Did you have to upgrade your plan to a new "smart phone" plan or something like that?

My plan now has unlimited text, picture, and video messaging, so I would be allowed to send pictures and videos to other phones, correct? Even if I have to upgrade my plan?

  • This is for Alltel right?

So I know you need a micro SD card to take pictures and videos, but when you have one of those cards, can you send those pics and videos that you took with the Blackberry to other phones too?

  • It's called QuickIM. Google "Quick I'm for blackberry" You should be able to find it pretty easy.

  • hey just bought this phone.. what did you say the IM was that works with MSN? thanks in advance

  • I just got my blackberry curve..how do you take the songs off of the computer and set them as ring tones???

  • I am crrently on a differet compter than the one I normally use. So I can't remember off the top of my head. As soon as I get to my PC I will help you out. I do know that you need the Desktop software that should have come with your phone installed before you attempt to transfer files between the two devices. You also need this software to teather your phone to a laptop, or PC.

  • I'm thinking about getting this phone and is there anything I should know about it?

  • Like I said in the video. If you want to use the video Camera you're going to need an SD card. And don't use the internet unless you have a data plan. It's expensive otherwise. One other thing that I didn't mention, and something I love about this phone is, you can take songs off your computer and use them as ringtones.

  • thanks for the review...it helped a lot. :]

  • Yea, anytime. Maybe I'll be doing some other ones in the future.

  • Awesome, I hope you like it. Let me know what you think of it. If you're used to a windows operating system it might take a little getting used to. But, if you give it a chance it's got a lot of cool little gadgets on it.

  • good review i am getting this today.
