  • Divine album!!!!!!!!!!

  • what a song....what amazing lead solo.....epic

  • If you like this band be sure to check out "Flotsam and Jetsam" album is "No Place for Disgrace" or "Flotzilla" most of you 40 something guys will know Flotsam but I'm speaking to the next generation to help keep thrash and speed alive. I wonder if you old guys know of a band called "Powermad" album is called "Absolute Power"?

  • Holy shit!!!

  • see theres a difference between this band and linken park, songs like this actually take talent and effort.

i would be so proud to own a heathen album, they've only made 2, and they are both amazing.

  • 3 now, and again all amazing \,,/

  • yeah im getting evolution, its awesome

  • lemme get this strait. heathen is NOT speed metal they are pure good, raw thrash metal

  • who are you to say so?

    i disagree

heathen sounds more like a mix of thrash and power metal than PURE RAW thrash metal

  • Heathen's stuff is more Progressive Thrash than anything else, especially Victims of Deception.

  • victims of deception yeah, but breaking the silence...high pitched vocals, a lot of double bass and neoclassical influences

of course its thrash, but a lot of thrash bands in the 80's where in the line of old school power metal and viceversa

  • ya u gotta love the tempo and key changes they and dark angel do.

  • Thrashy power metal maybe?? Who cares anyway, though they sound a bit different from some the other bay area bands.

  • did you get that answer straight from Heathen themselves? If not you have no say in what they are or arent.

  • @StopMotionHeadBanger speed metal is often used as an umbrella term for all the 80's subgenres of metal

just to prove my point, trey azagthoth describes morbid angel as speed metal on the liner notes of altars of madness

  • Wow every song I've heard from this band is great!

  • proud to have this on vinyl. Kickass.

  • This has been kicking my ass for over a year now. Listen to it almost daily. Best song from Heathen by far. Hope the new album, out Oct. 13 by the way, kicks serious ass. The few songs released so far sound promising. Keeping it hard still!! yeah!!. Thrash renaissance is now. Heathen, Artillery, and new bands. "Time has come, incompetent you ruled!"

  • Kicks Ass!! Totally missed these guys when they came out with '87 Breaking and '91 Victims. Must have been under a rock. Making amends now. Thrash on!!
